Instead of providing a conducive environment to encourage foreign equity investment in Nigeria, Buhari prefers to go borrowing to fund projects which could have been built entirely through private financing! The sheer economic illiteracy of this man is depressing.

I am really surprised about the comment of some people critizing Buhari for burrowing to finance the budget. Must you guys always critizise for God's sake. Where do you want him to get the money to finance the budget from without burrowing? Money nigeria do get from oil has reduced by 4. This is nonsense. All of the capital expenditure that is in this budget could have been funded privately, if Buhari were willing to adopt more rational economic policies. If anything, the level of capital expenditure that can be funded by government borrowing is far less than what is possible through foreign direct investment, and with FDI you aren't stuck with loans that your children and grandchildren will be stuck with paying for.

Assuming a Chinese firm is handling East West road and Nigeria is supposed to provide $400m right now for the contract which is already in progress, and Nigeria has no money to cntinue with the contract, what do you suggest ?
