modath:Err, I don't really want to get too deep into it on here. However, when you go to the official website of the company behind "Panama leaks" (https://www.occrp.org/en/panamapapers/overview/under-scrutiny/), you would see the list of those funding them at the bottom on the right - USAID and Open Society Foundation. USAID is the United States' agency for it foreign policy to protect US interests, hiding under charity/AID organisation and Open Society Foundation is owned by George Soros. George Soros is a megalomaniac and one of the most powerful men in America and he's one of the biggest advocates for regime change in Russia and a voice of US' total domination of the world. Let's just leave who George Soros is out of it. But why would an organisation, which is meant to be an independent one trying to expose people get funding from USAID, which is more or less the US government and, a character like George Soros? Yes, they're exposing some people. But those being exposed are the ones they can do away with as collateral damage. They won't expose the real rogues who're mostly Americans and a lot of powerful folks serving American interests. They also didn't get their main target. Regardless, naij folks on the list should be made to face the law. But the whole thing is just nonsense - it's a US government thing, nothing independent about it and it's more of a well orchestrated media war than a "leak". |

Holyman3:Lol. When there is no fuel, no light, no water. A hungry man doesn't think of his rights but survival. Let this government provide the basic necessity for human survival first then we can collectively eschew corruption. Tired of this half fight of acclaimed corruption. All we provide room for in the justice system of this country is "double jeopardy". |

Anyone interested in seeing through the farce that these "Panama leaks" are about can read the article written about it by the former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, which I'll post on this thread. Also, with Nigeria, since most of the big players and most corrupt people are linked with US interests and Rockefeller foundation - I don't think they'll release their names. Saraki is a pawn on the chessboard, hence his name was published. Ibori is inconsequential. You can't do anything about the Coker guy cos he always declare his UK assets and that was what the "leaks" revealed. The fake dead, Alamaisagha's name was also cited on Guardian UK and you can't go after a man that's officially dead. They'll most likely reveal the names of a few dissidents in the opposition or some minor folks as collateral damage, but I doubt they'll reveal any big names in Nigeria. This is the article: Corporate Media Gatekeepers Protect Western 1% From Panama Leak |

These are the major folks funding Panama leaks: - USAID - Ford Foundation - Carnegie Endowment - Rockefeller Family Fund - W K Kellogg Foundation - Open Society Foundation (George Soros)[/b] ^^^All US companies linked to the US government. So it's more or less a US government initiative. |

Shymm3x:Can we do the PM "thing"? I really want to know & internet isn't up to scratch, read so much but still have lots of gaps. However, when you go to the official website of the company behind "Panama leaks" (https://www.occrp.org/en/panamapapers/overview/under-scrutiny/), you would see the list of those funding them at the bottom on the right - USAID and Open Society Foundation.I know George & his sons (same way I know Carl Ikhan, Bloomberg, Kimora Lee's husband, etc) but just as wealth MGT folks, never knew their capacity for evil. Well most 1%ers are demons, so no surprise!! http://humanevents.com/2011/04/02/top-10-reasons-george-soros-is-dangerous/ http://m.sputniknews.com/world/20160406/1037543197/soros-putin-clinton-cameron-panama.html Let's just leave who George Soros is out of it. But why would an organisation, which is meant to be an independent one trying to expose people get funding from USAID, which is more or less the US government and, a character like George Soros?[quote]If there is one thing I know & will never discount, US hides under Alms giving (AIDS according to them8)) to plunder & create chaos!1. I find it curious that I've not seen the likes of the Waltons, Zuckerberg, Dells, Allen, Koches, Bren etc but I "convinced" myself that it will surely be in the soon to be released "May 2016" version, Na wah for me sha!! 2. Are you talking Vlad? Regardless, naij folks on the list should be made to face the law. But the whole thing is just nonsense - it's a US government thing, nothing independent about it and it's more of a well orchestrated media war than a "leak".Won't hold my breath! ![]() |

Holyman3:Ha! You just spoke the truth about we black people, watch out cause the smart black people are coming for your head. I personally think the most negative thing westerners imported to African is religion , not because it's bad in itself but mostly because they did not teach us how to use for our development or we Africans found a way to turn every positive situation to negative. |

If Nigerians don't agree to retire when they're too old, you're talking about resignation due to corruption! Sorry, no Nigerian will resign untill he or she is forced out! |

How many percent of Nigerians actually know what the Panama papers are? Majority of Nigeria's educated and uneducated are really only interested in religion, heaven, quick money and enjoyment. |

It`s the job of Nigerian activists to mobilize at times like this, but which activists do not have an empty stomach right now? Poverty makes many things impossible, so it`s difficult to be blaming Nigerians for not taking to the streets. I have said it before and I would say it again that, Nigeria is going to be a project for a special few sooner or later. Where we are today dates back to June 12 palaver, so Nigerians are tired and deflated. Another thing is that Nigeria is huge. Iceland has a population of over 300,000 so it is very easy to make things happen in an environment like that. Also important to point out that London has more names on that list more than any other countries in the world yet they are not taking to the streets yet. |

That's all we know how to do in this part of the world- pray and do nothing. We have been undergoing very harsh conditions and seeing stark corruption since the pre-panama papers days, so this revelation doesn't shock us at all. It's the Westerners that can be shocked. We have lost that ability, sadly. |

Holyman3:So the only money that could save Nigeria, give power and end fuel scarcity has to come from repatriated funds and investments made by thieves? What a pathetic thing to tell about. That's the reason nobody likes the current government. So Mr Bihari had thought nothing of increasing government coffers, in fact, he campaigned to be president in order to retrieve funds that the country has been surviving without all this time, because the ONLY way the country will turn around is by recovering stolen loot? Inconceivable. And so it becomes apparent with every new revelation that Nigeria is being led by a &%#!$! |
