I once raised an issue like this, and nairalanders lambasted me non stop. I hate what the fulanis do but i think the media is unfair. A single story is dangerous

OP you have a point. The story of Fulani Herdsmen attacking and killing people is so common these days. Its unfortunate and calls for serious action to be taken by the Government. I know what they are capable of doing though, but sincerely the report about them feels too one sided. I have hardly seen any story about them being reported from both sides. Its always them them them...

What is there to report than, the herdsmen cows destroyed the farmers land, the farmers poisoned or killed the cow, then the Fulani's on revenge mission goes to kill the farmers and destroy their properties in place of the cow.

Now let me ask you, is human life equivalent to that of a cow?

Nigerians should not allow themselves to be misled by individuals who post and state things like: 'do you expect the Fulani not to avenge attacks upon them?' The truth is that we do not yet know fully what is going on, what is behind this sudden escalation of Fulani supposed attacks all over Nigeria. Let us be certain first that the Fulani Herders are responsible and not some other groups from outside Nigeria that are among us.

Even after defeating our currently poorly armed Military, Nigeria still would be a difficult place to hold. The way to defeat Nigeria is to sow divisions among us, work on what is believed to be our fault-lines in order to erode one of our greatest strengths,which is our great humanity and patience born of our still intact tribal cultural values.

Does that changes the fact that they go about with weapons lately instead of rod?
Does that changes the fact that they allow their animals to feed on farmland products?
Does that changes the fact that they kill those farmers who had only harm their cows, in a bid to protect their farmlands?

To them cow life is equal to that of human, because they r cows themselves.

What you should be clamouring for is justice on behalf of their victims, because so far the media coverage that's is itching you is not helping the victim due to fed govt insensitivity.

Those herdsmen are primitive and barbaric. They're just one step from cavemen so their side of the story is irrelevant.

They don't reason like civilized humans.

Its like asking why we dont hear the side of boko haram and armed robbers. What is there to hear that uou haven't heard?

I'm surprised you said "hear" haven't you read some farmers account of their ordeal in the hands of the Fulani heardsmen? Or haven't you seen pictures of some farmers who were maimed as a result of the Fulani herdsmen's barbaric behaviour?

How do you mean "They don't have anybody to report to?" what are media outfits there for? None of them has ever come out to refute the claims of the farmers because they are guilty of the accusations. Afterall "he who come to equity must come with clean hands."

Yes, there is always two sides to a story, but the Fulani herdsmen issue is an open-and- shut matter! No question about it.
