If it was a Nigerian transaction..
It could have been sorted out by now.. Bcuz d banker must have done his call overs by now..

Since it was international transaction..

It won't have much weight..

Unless if your uncle goes to transfer more funds.. They will let him know of d transaction.

But if ur uncle sends u more money without any complaints..

I advise you to go complain immediately. It might take time but the bank will definitely discover later. Even if the mistake is from the agent, they will know. Do the honourable thing by informing the bank. The amount is nothing compared to your peace, integrity and rest of mind. Do not compromise for anything. Be blessed.

My brother, transfer the remaining money into another bank that you operate with to avoid those little boys that works there using it.If they request for it ,then you transfer it back to GTBank.if they don't ,leave it in your other bank account for 2yrs before using it.

That extra money does not belong to the bank. It most certainly belonged to your uncle. Do the needful and inform your uncle about the extra cash. Am quite certain an error occurred when the agent transferred the money to you. It has happened to me before. I had to return the excess to my boss because he actually sensed the error when he transferred the money.

Nothing would happen.. This is not really a human error but a machine error.. It has happened to me and still happened quite recently though the one that happened was an investment I made in a cryptocurrency..

It has happened to me 2 times before. Recieved payment from worldremit.com. They paid the double of the amount. I reported the bank said no error from there end. I kuku spent the money na. The following month I was debited the exact amount that I spent.

Thank God for your life for you are not one of those people who are looking for anyway and all ways to trouble Nigeria and add to her problems and keep her in problems for you instantly told the truth that the problem or mistake, if it is a mistake, might be corrected or even if the money is still your own where by it will be explained to you later. It's good of you brother and please keep it up and improve on it and try even to teach the others around you to live honest life and be truthful. Some people who say they are fast might have quickly withdrew the money and even close the account ( even the money may prove to still be theirs later) and may cause other people to weep. the error cant be from the bank cos the teller that did the transaction that every day wont balance.
except the agent filled the instruction twice and that will explain why he got double alert.

my advice is you go bank to the bank and report yourself and be an honest citizen or blow the money and wait till the day SARS will come and arrest you.

At about this time last year, I was in exact same position. I got paid my salary and got a double of it. Knowing my working environment, I quickly reported to my supervisor and same day withdrew the excess and deposited in the company account. Before long the bank started calling me for the money that it was their system error that caused it and not my company testing my integrity as I had thought. So I spoke with my Company Accountant and got them to pay the money back to my account and the bank did the needful. Whatever you do in life, be careful not to spoil your future!
