The last time I checked Britain can afford a private jet too. Yes Jonathan flew private jet, that's why some people voted baba in is that they were thinking he will sell the private jet and live a humble presidential life , but that's not what we are seeing.

I think the bone of contention here is not about the the way they flew to China....Cameron flew commercial for a £40B DEAL while PMB flew a private jet for a mere $2B loan....we are spending more and getting less while Cameron spent less and got more....

There are only few countries that can't afford a private jet you know. Of which Britain can afford hundred of it if they wish. The bottom line is that a president whose major qualities includes being humble and anti corruption has no business with the much flamboyance we see around pmb lately. I mean besides anti corruption, what is his order credentials really.

Reducing the budget simply means laying off several federal government workers scattered across the federation and not just in Abuja-MDAs, federal universities, polythechnics, unity schools, research units etc. Governance is far more than elementary school, if your income drops the solution is to block looting loopholes and increase revenue generation and doing this will ensure enough cash flow to settle acquired loans in the future. It's all about STRATEGIC THINKING and not cheap armchair/nairaland analysis.

This is perhaps the dumbest critic I've heard of in years, in this age of insecurity and terrorist attacks! Since when did the UK and Nigeria became equals? Do we have the same economic blueprints? Same population? Same economic difficulties? Cameron flew commercial because he was making a political statement, if you asked any security operative or senior intelligence officer, they would tell you it was a very foolish decision! Perhaps Mr. Reno should compile a list of world leaders who flew commercial and the ones flying via private jet, this way we can see whether Buhari is the crazy one or Cameron!

Buhari who criticised Jonathan for having so many jets is yet to sell one of these jets.


Buhari is now using the same jet to fly to borrow money from China for you and your children's children to pay back with interest, just like he did in '84.

Rambling? You are mentioning countries where the government ensures people's welfare are taken care of, where people eat and put the rest in the trash. Where power is regular 24/7, fuel scarcity is virtually unheard of, still some citizen frown at presidential jets, yet you are here cheering for someone that is elected to serve and account to you in a country where people rarely afford one meal a day.

Moreover the crown can't dictate whether the prime minister fly a private jet or not,if he chooses to fly public that's to his advantage, because his boss ( the public is watching ).
