SMH...i never heard of it from the airliners when i book...the only time was when my company booked on my behalf and they just asked for my residence visa and cross checked...that was it

depends on wen the company sends ur documents to ministry of labour. From that day it can b out in less Dan 10 days if all requirements are met by the company. U can hold any amount cos na 9ja immigrations. They must ask for sorting even if u hold the required 1k$

Applied and got an immediate confirmation via mail, although at the end of the application there are some documents that you have to print out directly from the site

I have been given appointment for next week, can I go before the appointment date from your experience . I tried contacting Abu Dhabi office but no one is answering.

Yea you can go there on Tuesday and Thursday between 8-12PM i think.... The appointment does not matter

There is nothing like Abu Dhabi tourist visa, its UAE Visa that can take you to any of the Emirates in UAE.

My friend's agent just sent him his employment visa without signing or thumb-printing any contract paper , this is making me suspect it could be fake visa but we have not been able to confirm the visa on the immigration portal, is there any other way this agent are doing this ?

You can call General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Terminal 3 on +971 800-5111. Once they pick, tell them you want to verify your employment/Residence visa. She/He will request your Passport Number and that's it. They will inform you if its fake,Genuine or Processing.

I know it was pointed directly to me. Was only trying to help. If u are in uae, dial the number and know long it would take den dial same from Nigeria which wouldn't be toll free and know how much u would b spending . its all good.
