focus7:Please don't make me laugh. The same Yorubas begging for 'one Nigeria' don't need anybody? It is time we all did away with this SW/SE/SS nonsense. These terms have no constitutional or legal backing. We must start calling people by their names instead of some geographical point. |

focus7:i tire for them o! Now they want the SS to reject the project which passes all SS states just because it only cuts through 2 SE states. Will the SS be stupid enough to buy this their foolishness? |

asha80:So because it touches Aba the whole SE should be involved and start jumping up and down is Aba=SE Abeg dey ur lane o! The right thing should be done regardless of whose ox is gored, this project very much concerns the SW as well so no one should pin it on the SS/SE |

asha80:Do u even understand d economic implication of dat Rail Or u just sit back and type rubbish, D implication is dat industry in d southeast will migrate to SW, COS it will become cheaper to transport Finished goods to SE using rail, and d new ones wount be bothered to cm down EAST since it will be cheaper For them to get their raw materials from Lagos port, finish it dre and easily move d finished goods to SE WITH RAIL WE will all become consumers instead of manufacturers. Now dat is common sense. |

ElCount:Because we Igbos have chosen to be short sighted, doesnt mean the SS are also myopic like us. You want them to forfeit a Rail project that would cut across all the six state in the SS? Do you know how it would boost the tourism potential of Tinapa and Obudu Resort in Calabar? |

VivianUdeogu:If ben ayade is building a deep sea port then what is the federal government doing. The loan should be taken to upgrade other Niger delta ports to sea port as this will encourage export of goods from the hinter land to overseas via the Niger delta sea ports. What is the economic advantage of linking Lagos with Calabar via rail that supersedes building deep sea ports and dock yards that would encourage evacuation of produce and products for export. |

VivianUdeogu:Igbos are not the problem of anyone, the rail way line built with chinese loans might end up like other abandoned projects, how will the rail line generate revenue and pay for th loan. |

I was one of the first person that opposes this evil they called railway project! I still insist, this is a grand plan to expand Lagos economy. |

VivianUdeogu:Your monicker may be Igbo but enough of the insult. A major railway line that passes along the border of one SE state while all the other regions and states are ably represented is what you are expecting a right thinking Igbo man or woman to applaud, where is your pride? This is coming at a time when second Niger bridge construction was suspended, when no proposed FG project is visible in the SE . What happens if you suggest that the railroad should bifurcate at Benin as SEastern and Ssouthern railroad to join at Aba and continues to Calabar?. The right thinking Igbo's will continue to cry against marginalisation until the right thing is done, we are not going to settle for less, we are equally Nigerians and should be treated as one. |

VivianUdeogu:First of Obudu cattle ranch and mountain resort isn't in calabar its some 7-8hrs from calabar via a very terrible federal road. Secondly, the SS can go ahead and approve of the project but we all know what's up behind that project and they will be the first to start blowing up the rail when they see the true reason behind that project. And I am willing to bet that its stop in Aba isn't even a train station. Here u are calling it a SS/SE project and yet it cuts across 3 SW states and kisses Aba somewhere in the jungle. Get us a seaport either in the SS/SE let's develop our region and let Lagos be |

Oxenomy:You heard the transport minister in the video mentioning with his mouth, the towns where the proposed standard rail is meant to cross but you say you need a reliable source. There is no need to show you any map cos it is obvious your prejudice towards amaechi/buhari/apc has blocked your ability to be objective. 33xtr9r:Once again, you are nobody to talk for the SE let alone the SS. The rail goes through the SS and touches some SE cities, it is called the coastal railway and it is a highly welcome development. If this is supposed to be opposition, then I've never in my life seen this kind of foolish opposition where humans almost literally cut their heads off to spite their nose. Your senseless wailing and prejudice for amaechi/buhari/apc obviously makes you wish bad for the SE so you can justify your irrational hatred for apc. But this your wickedness will not fly, development will come to the SE and SS. All of you opposed to this project all because of some foolish tribal/regional politics, your mentalities all stink, Tufia! |

The OP, Uduak2016 should tell us how he came about Lagos getting FG allocations that are more than those of all the six South South states combined. |

obailala:He asked for a map, show him a map which in case your Amaechi/Buhari/APC starts their denials and lyings their will be a concrete evidence to shut them up. Even with video evidence, they often defends themselves that their words are misconstrued. I repeat sincerely that if it is only the southernmost tip of Aba that is involved in this railway fiasco then it is totally unacceptable and should be wailed over. Give us the map. |

TheArchangel:What is even wrong with some of you wailers?... Is it any and everything you oppose?.... It is called the coastal rail and yes, it goes through all the coastal states, but with a stop at Aba and a spur from Benin to Onitsha; what else do you want before you understand that it is a good project?.... Ar you suggesting that a major project like this which benefits the entire SS should be scrapped because it would benefit the SS more than the SE?... Is this a case of evil selfishness that makes you hate the fact project goes through the SS?... or is it just a case of just senseless short-sightedness that makes you think a high speed train which connects Onitsha and Lagos and also Aba would not be beneficial to the SE?.... Once again, is it everything that we must play politics of division with? And by the way, the 2nd Niger bridge was never suspended by anyone but for the unavailability of funds for it in the 2015 budget. Nobody ever planned to stop the project and it is evil devisive souls like yourself that keep spreading this rumour of the bridge being cancelled by this govt purely to create disaffection and hate. God pass una and this evil folly will only consume you. Never in my life have I seen humans who are truly willing to cut their heads off to spite their nose. |

kenny987:so it must pass through 10 towns in the SE before we can believe there is no marginalization, like I said earlier in one of my posts, if am PMB, I won't bother any longer cos nothing seem to please you guys after all even your lawmakers don't care either. |
| Re: Lagos-Calabar Supposed Rail Route Crossing Into SE Is A FAT LIE!!! by obailala(m): 8:35am On Apr 14, 2016 |
TheArchangel:What do you mean by 'only the southernmost tip of aba'?.... was the rail suppose to turn around aba township like an intracity metro before you agree it has gone through Aba?.... What sort of odious reasoning is this?.... Since GEJ lost this election, what sort of affliction have befallen Igbo youths?.... okay just like the poster above asked, did you wail over this project when GEJ was in power?... cos the plans for this project have been around for over 10 years. |

asorocker:you guys keep using the excuse of sea port just to jettison the rail project, the issue of sea port is a different thing altogether, why not demand for rail and sea port together, does it make sense to refuse a house in Ikeja for a house in lekki when you can have both of them? |
