The traffic between lagos and Kano is much more than that of Calabar to lagos. It is also important to connect the hinter land area of kano to a city like lagos with major seaports. obailala: |

This is the only thouggful analysis I jave read so far in this. My observations: 1. If the federal character has been grounded in such a way that SE always loses, then there is still danger lurking and it will affect us all when "we no go gree" becomes defeaning, forceful and carefree. even, once more, to repercussions. It's the past and present piliticians in these zones who will be held to account in the long run. 2. SS will politically and, possibly otherwise, be wiped off Nigeria by the religiously-engineered gluttonous North and the treacherous SW if SE is finally pinned to the ground. Regionalism through Federalism is the only way for Nigeria since ethnic and tribal politics have marred it all. Now...wail, scratch...insult all you want. The truth still stands out. |

scorpio2013:Both routes service 2 different sets of people. Imagine the traffic between Benin and Lagos alone and you will understand which route is more economically viable. |

JuliettaBitch:The issue of route for the railway was not determined by the Buhari administration. This is a project that had been on the drawing board for years. This is a coastal railway that traverses all the coastal states in Nigeria. I thought Igbos said they own Port Harcourt (Igwe Ocha as called by IPOB). If indeed it does not pass through any SE states except Aba in Abia State, does that make it irrelevant as a coastal railway? Lagos to Kano railway does not traverse the NorthEast region, does that make it useless for the route it runs through? Have the North Easterners demanded for the Lagos Kano railway to be scrapped? If the SouthEast is not interested in it, how does that affect the benefits derived by the towns that would host the coastal railway? The Yorubas already have the Lagos to Kano railway traversing their region. If the rest of the South, including the SouthSouth that is to benefit the most, are not interested in the coastal rail, then Buhari should approve the Budget in the manner the Northerners have already redistributed the funds to favour projects in their own region. No government has to beg any region to accept infrastructure if it is not wanted. |

A priority analysis of projects importance in ss n se now z Neva a rail line for exploitative agenda instead of development driven seaport. an d money earmarked for cal- lag rail line project z enough to build a functional seaport in d ss,so y not clamour for a functional seaport n get amaechi n d fg to reroute d earmarked funds for d rail line to a seaport instead.#sayknowtoarailline#,n #sayyestoaseaport#.mbasi mbok. |

Goke7:You can now understand what PMB meant when he said "..after all these, what do the Igbos want?"kenny987: :so it must pass through 10 towns in the SE before we can believe there is no marginalization, like I said earlier in one of my posts, if am PMB, I won't bother any longer cos nothing seem to please you guys after all even your lawmakers don't care either. |
