When I heard about Fayose's purpoted letter to the Chinese government, I dismissed it as a Rumour. But today, pictures have been going round social media of a copy of the letter telling the Chinese government not to loan us the money we are asking for... This clearly shows that Fayose is working against the interest of Nigeria.

In Law, Treason is the crime that covers some of the EXTREME acts against ones Nation or Sovereign. In my opinion Fayose's letter is treasonable and to be fair he must be given the "Nnamdi Kanu treatment" (Immunity or no Immunity).

Buhari loans are mostly to restart outdated industries in northern Nigeria, industries whose products are no more wanted in modern times, as well as loans to redesign northern Nigeria post Boko violence.

Must any Nigerian like Fayose who is not mugu like others, and who sees far and challenge Buhari's hidden motives for loan be suggested for treason charges?

Are we in Idi Amin's regime in Nigeria?

Why?
Should we mortgage our future so Buhari can take 2bil loan to reward his party men?
Fayose stated the obvious, read the letter again and point out the treasonable part.

You can keep your opinion to yourself, now is the time you see people come up to say anything you do or say against the present Govt is treason, he is entitled to his freedom and that he has done since you don't even know your right from your left you will call it treason

Didn't you hear what okonjo iweala said yesterday? If you did not hear, let me tell you. She made it clear that the current economic hardship is not just starting but an aftermath of bad leadership of the immediate past government due to lack of political will to save but political will to share.

Suppose we have the likes of Fayose upto six as stated governors in Nigeria, or dear country would have been a better place.
this post is inconsequential because it lacks merit

opposing government's move does not amount to a crime. Fayose did the right thing. Buhari told us that they have recovered billions stolen from the past administration, they told us that they have saved trillions from TSA etc. So what reason does he have to borrow from china? Nigerians should wake up.

thank you jare

when they have not told us one thing they have done with the loot
they want more ... as to loot theirs abi

What is treasonable about what fayose did or are a competent court? Incurring debts when u do not have capacity to pay is mortgaging the future. We should thank the gov for his boldness jare! Tell presido to devalue currency to allow foreign investors do the projects and get their return in longer PBP. When we are talking about privatization somebody is trying to start what am sure he cannot finish. This is 21st century o.

I wonder why some people are taking Fayose serious after careful examination of the pix. first of all, a closer look at d pix shows that a guy is right behind Fayose enjoying himself taking selfie. secondly the people sitting don't seems to focus their attention towards Fayose, it appears Fayose ran into a group of people waiting to board train or something else and Fayose quickly attached himself to one of them, snap few pix to save himself of some embarrassment.
if Fayose actually went to China against the loan request by PMB, in which way does that man in d pix looks like someone in China who has a say when it comes to critical decisions, what is d name or topic for the program at which Fayose address his porpoted audience, does China looks like Ekiti state where an uninvited guest can walk into a program from another state, on the day of a program and he is given the opportunity to address the audience?
more so, the man in handshake with Fayose looks less a Chinese man.
I pity Ekiti people and all the gullible Nigerians who believe in Fayose.
Re: Governor Fayose's Letter To China: Should He Be Charged For Treason? by Reference(m): 4:35pm On Apr 15, 2016
Absolutely agree. Fayose has no reason whatsoever to interfere with the workings of an elected government. It is one thing to criticise. It is quite another to actively seek to sabotage. It may or may not be treason by law but it certainly is by spirit and intent.

There's a difference between being popular and being influential. Fayose is not influential under any spectrum. He's just an unknown quantity who should be ignored.

Only a Zealous, Focus n Determined Leader we need to fix Nigeria right, going out to borrow is like bringing curse on Nigeria.

Some people are funny! For the avoidance of doubt, in a federal system of government, no units of that federation can go abroad to undermine the President of the federation. You can go to advance your state`s agenda but you don`t criticize the federal government abroad. Even opposition leaders that venture abroad try to respect that democratic tradition. Today, Hong Kong and Taiwan are seen as autonomous states of China, but can they go around the world to criticzse China? ]Fayose making representation to China in opposition to the federal government is the type of political mannerism you will expect from a village rascal

Now those of you that have allowed parochial sentiments to cloud your judgement need to ask yourselves what a dictator would have done in response to Fayose`s kindergarten move. Can Taiwan or a regional leader in China write that type of letter to a foreign government and not made to sweat afterwards? Buhari has been very presidential all through this, which I find very commendable.

Is this how Ekiti people are? Is Fayose a sane man? Is PDP that he claimed to be representing and fighting for still exist? What do you think will happen to you Mr Fayoshit after the expiration of your tenure. The class of people who will not see anything good in what Mr President (Buhari) is doing presently are either a fraudster, 419, Kidnappers, Prostitutes, Militants, Boko-Haram, Pipeline Vandals, Economic saboteurs, Political brigands, Ritualists, Cultists, ungodly individual. Monkeys (Nairaland wailers), Now check where you belong...

Fayose going all the way to China same time the FG was in the middle of a deal, to say those words, is an act of sabotage against Nigeria -- regardless of if he his right or wrong.

Ekiti is nothing near to a model state -- actually one of the states doing most poorly, so what is his leverage?

No. He committed no treason. Just asking why would Pmb and some of his ministers spend a whole one week in China just to borrow 2b USD? I bet they have spent most of that money in hotel bills and expensive Chinese food. China govt will be like what kind of people is this?! That is act of treason for hungry Nigerians
