This is definitely not my strong suit. But, i think Vin Diesel was poor in the Witch Hunter. Also, i don't know much bout the god of war story line (i've not played the game either ). but, am guessing raw brutality will be required of the actors .

Ok so it just occurred to me that Ed Skrien could also play Kratos.

After watching him in Transporter, I thought he was a pretty boy-bad boy wanna be and didn't take him serious, till I saw him in Deadpool.

He looked the real deal as Ajax (Francis) especially during the fight scenes. I loved the fight scene where he used the axes, he was very good with them as well as his fists too.
All he needs is a couple of pounds and muscles.

Oh and he's almost bald.

Bill Goldberg is perfect for that character. I think his character in wcw/wwe was fashioned after kratos sef.

Karl Drago was really cool. But the Conan reboot sucked so hard squids made way for it.

Yet to see him in another epic role. Though aqua man is in the works.

I'll like to see how that goes.

True, Ragnar has the looks but he's small compared to Kratos.

I'd even go with Rollo...my only is with him is he's Thor upgraded in looks.

Dolph die an have the character of kratos.

Any movie involving him needs a warrior type mentality dolph is the quiet hard man and for now his too old.

I think a black actor would also play him well but I can't put my finger on whom.

that black actor should be the black guy that starred in BLOOD DIAMONDS.
