At @ mamas, since some of the mamas said they still dont get the fashion tips and we know pictures speak loudest, I was thinking ( its a suggestion o), we should dedicate a day when we post pictures of what we mean. The pictures ( clothes, shoes, bags, makeup, jewelry) could be:
- pre pregnancy era
- pregnancy era
- post pregnancy era
- random online pictures
These pictures will be posted both by the teachers and learners.

I won't like a situation whereby it will distract us from attending to what the thread is all about; pregnancy but if we decide to move it to the Fashion section, there will be too much pressure from others and we might lose focus which is helping mothers/ wives look good even with all the hassles of housekeeping. ISSUE 2
I have a maid who has being working with me since 28th December last year,she is a widow with 3 children,her last child is about 4 years old. Her job is to work from 7am-6pm, it was supposed to be Monday to Saturday but she said she needed Saturday as day off I agreed. But after two weeks I noticed she not coming on Saturday will not work for me.
So I told her to be taking Friday half day, she agreed and she has also being taking excuse on some Saturdays to go for burials, which I always give her.
Recently she told me coming to work on Saturday is not comfortable for her that she has functions to attend and also cook for her children.
At first I wanted to tell her to stop but I wanted to be considerate so I told her to be coming by 3pm on Saturday.
But it is not convenient for me. NOTE: she works a lot, I don't need to tell her what to do,
Then the second thing is she sweats a lot, I mean a lot, when she carries my baby any time they are coming back all his flannel will be wet, especially when there is no light.
I own a shop ,I go there Monday to Saturday I always like to be there though I have people working for me, and we all know how Saturday's are

MY QUESTION
1. Her not coming on Saturday
2, her sweating habit are they enough reasons to send her off.

Though since I told her to be coming by 3pm she always come late. This got me angry and I started looking for someone else, though I have seen a young girl around 21yrs but I have not told her to start because I don't know if these two reasons are strong enough.
I am not free giving her my child or even feel comfortable when she is playing with my bigger daughter because of the sweating.
I have told DH he said any decision is OK by him, though he does not know about the sweating aspect.
And by June we will be packing to another apartment though not too far from where we are now.
Pls make una help me touch light this matter. MY head they ache me for thinking.

Thanks tatacherie. I did the registration yesterday and it was quite a stressful process. Got there at about 8.30am and left almost 3pm. Got home really tired.

Read through your issue and if you ask me I'd say you should leave her. With domestic staff you're not likely to get a 100% except its a graduate you employ and even those wont give you all you desire.

Have a list to bench mark her with and if she scores 80% then let it be. You said she is proactive as per house work to me that's more than fair enough the rest you can coach her with.

She's a widow and I know there are rewards for being merciful to people in that state. He Saturday one as inconvenient as it is. Please bear with her. I know its a job but as my people say " oju Ni o n ri oju sanu". ( if anyone can translate I'd be glad).

As per sweat the heat is unbearable these days Na how her body be. Encourage her to have or if you can spare your old clothes like work clothes which she can change into once she's soaked. Make she nor too dey carry pikin place him in a rocker as much as possible. Can you buy some rechargable fans? Maybe the sweat go reduce...

If ur shop is secured n conducive, just take them out with u on Saturday
Atleast u bond more those days and give them extra treat since u have people working for u at d shop.

Even at my office, Mothers bring their kids to work when they have to work Saturdays...

The 21 year old girl won't have d experience she has in handling kids.
