Nonsense

I need to be blunt here, unforgiveness and anger towards others is stupid! Because it dosent hurt them or do anything to them, rather it eats you up and keeps you in a sad and unhappy. It's stupid.

This goes to only lady I ever toasted out here but refuse on just no cause..the door is still open, plsss my mum is n't getting young @all

I am even guilty of this unforgiving hrt sef, For three years now, I have kept grudge for someone. But, I think is enough after today.

Eeyah. Pathetic. What I see here is mostly pride though, it wasn't like she hadn't forgiven him, but pride clouded her judgement. She still loved him but was trying to proof a point to herself.

I don't have issues with forgiving people anyway or probably no one has hurt me enough to make me unforgiving, don't pray for such. I might just put the person at arm's length. Forgiving is easy, forgetting is harder and near impossible.

iI believe in forgiveness truely that's y i confess my sins, but ,honestly sometimes I feel i need an opportunity to pay back my offender with a sledge- hammer blow which would make me feel better......but the bible tells us about the wicked servant who was forgiven his debts but refused to do likewise, hence was apprehended and jailed by his master. It then goes ahead to say that we would not be forgiven at all if we don't forgive, since that is the only criteria for receiving forgiveness......." forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us"......... Even peter was told to forgive 70 x 7 times.

But the pain of the hurt dey o. And i remember my countless sins too. So the only reason i forgive is cos i also need forgiveness otherwise na eye for eye , tooth for tooth walahi! And since na forgiveness for forgiveness too,I no get choice o........I gas forgive by fire or by thunder!!!!

Reminds me of my ex, we were so in love or as I thought, he proposed, I mt his family and there was no issue cos they all loved me. I became close friends with the sister and the mum would park gifts to m anytime I go visiting.
He suddenly fell ill and within 2 weeks he died, I was shocked, I couldn't hold back my tears as I remembred he was suppose to come collect the list from my parents the following wekend to commence the wedding plans and all d@. A week later I got the shocker of my life, I discovered he has been drilling my supposed "bestie", the chick came confessing this to m saying she was scared and her conscience was judging her.
In as much as his death still hurts but one part of me feels he deserved what he got. I forgave them both and I've moved on but still very careful whn it coms to friends and men.

Hmmmm very touching life is just funny. Pride is a heavy luggage... it does no good. It doesn't cost a thing to forgive(yet it's very difficult to, still battling with mine.I pray God gives me grace ) . Iv learnt so much about life, especially this past 3years,

You cn't be SYMPATHETIC yet UNFORGIVING, If you're sympathetic it means you have a good conscience and if so you cn't be unforgiving else there's something else you're not telling..

@ Topic, really pathetic.
Sometimes we act like we know what the future holds, like we created ourselves, like we are shit when actually we're nothing b4 the creator.
So i've got 2 neighbors who dn't see eye to eye, both ladies n both married.. Why? Coz this one said this n that one said that, it's even extended to their husbands n kids, heard one of the ladies telling her little daughter of about 4 yrz not to have anything to do with the other ladies kids, warning her strictly, already sowing the seed of discord and evil in her and thats how that kid will grow up...

So after watching them both for a while my spirit led me to try and reconcile them both... Talked to them separately, shared even the word of God from the 'Holy Book' and admonished them to bury the hatchet and embrace peace... They said so many things but i told them i wasn't interested, that they shldn't expect forgiveness from God if they cn't forgive themselves and live peacefully as neighbors and as children of God coz they go to church everytime..

Moving forward, they both agreed to work things out, thanked me n even prayed for me, Lol.. One of them changed, she's started exchanging greetingz with the other one's husband and has askd her kids too to always greet, atleast it's a nice start. But the other one, she's refused to, she's got really deep mind and i just wonder... The first lady even told me one morning when she greeted the other ladies husband, the second lady was seriously warning her hubby, threatening fire n brimstone, cursing, that he should nvr be in good terms with the first lady...

So I'm really surprised, and i wonder how she sleeps at night... Still praying for her though

So finally, we should be forgiving, it's a small world and no one knows tomorrow.

I can relate with the Op's story, i'm so emotional so i get hurt easily, Lol. Though i'm working on getting really tough now, lol. So, but I'm forgiving yet it's mostly difficult for me to forget. Still working on that and hopefully i'll be good as i hv improved greatly.

He has been begging for forgiveness all these years, because of guilty conscience. He just needs to free himself from guilt.


My problem now is how to get his number again. I deleted everything about him.

That's life ooo. One minute one is here and the next, goodness knows.

God knows I hold no body in mind. I always remember the last call I had with my dad before he passed away suddenly a few days later. We hardly ever talked but that call was one of the best calls we'd had in years. He had been so lively, as if he knew he wasn't going to be around for much longer.

That last call gave me all the closure I needed and it stillconsoles me till tomorrow, because I know we were both in a good place before he died.

No use holding on to grudges, it's just not worth it in the end.

This reminds me of the ex that is/was trying to get back that I blocked all forms of communication with since 2014.

He's no longer active on ANY social media platform. Yes I still stalk him on social media, I still like him. But he hurt me too much, I'm not going back there.

Maybe I should swallow my pride and call him...

What I think about forgiveness :

1. I know that forgiveness is for me and not for those who wronged me.

2. If I forgive an offender, I don't necessarily have to be in contact with them, especially unrepentant people .

3. I Forgive even if the person who offended me does not tender an apology or feigns ignorance.

4. When I forgive, I give the person the chance to earn back my trust. I'd like to see how far they'd go. Forgiveness and Trust are two very different things.

5. I know that it is hard to forgive If the offense is great but all things are possible to them who believe.
