If it was me i won't show up for that photo shoot in this modern day. Even panel bitter won't come up with this type of design.

Mockery of Auto manufacturing. This is the best our engineers can offer in 21st century. Must I clap?

Not hating but I think we should concentrate on making one or two stroke engines from 100% locally fabricated materials.

What's the whole idea of designing the chassis of a vehicle from imported materials?

Beating metal sheets over assembled engine parts already in existence is for me not worthy technology.

Let us make simple motorcycles, wheels and pistons locally.
Ignitions, combustion engines and shock absorbers.

That is the technology.

I'm with you on this bro.

Where do we start

OP, you have not communicated. You are just hailing them without giving technical information. Is it solar, battery or fuel powered? What is the speed? etc

Lastly, a link to a video of it moving.

You can't post a picture of phone and not tell us the OS at least...haba!

Bros, stop that nonsense. Why are you asking rational questions. That is very unpatriotic of you. You are supposed to nod your head and say "Nigeria will be great again" even though it was never great. Let it not happen again.

I laughed so hard when i saw this bus. But nonetheless it is a wonderful achievement, absolutely beautiful and it
Seems like they made the mini bus from scratch using limited resources from this third world shiit hole
Imagin this young lads being secretelly funded by CIA or some underground oil manganate, they will be the first africans on the moon.

This is POOR...Atleast they should have considered aerodynamics, or weren't they taught the sleeker the shape, the faster?

The pretty much had a hammer, screw-driver, cutlass and hoe as their mechanical tools ... so abeg, give these folks some credit for the commendable engineering work they have achieved. smiley

Where do we start

By being true to ourselves.

By utilising the Internet for its true purpose - sharing information and ideas.

By creating and encouraging science-based clubs.

From automobiles to filigree.

By encouraging scholarship and research.

I'm often irked by our fascination with killing every reptile we see rather than studying and even breeding them.

Their skins are money spinners. Their presence a spectacle for the international traveller.

Sometimes naija we no dey try

our minister of technology can summon a meeting of fabricators, artisans, mechanics, welders etc and allow them them to freely share ideas and recommendations on how we can make engines.
For me i dont think to make an engine is a big deal.you just have to get the right alloys of aluminum and steel and bore all the required holes, cast ur crankshaft.
Maybe am too optimistic but am sure that if these group of people are summoned and with the new relationship which the Chinese guys we will advance in technology

You are quite right sir. Innovation is all we need. I believe that Nigerians can make their own car engines if and only if the enviroment becomes favourable and flexible.

We can't wait for the environment.

We need young and old to be involved right now.

Once we dedicate our time to and passion to these interests we would naturally create the right environment.

We've been drinking rozay and Henny far too long.

I pass my neighbour is imported.

We no dey shame?
Re: Mini Bus Made By UNIZIK Engineers, Looking Better Than Ever by gordii(m): 10:41pm On Apr 17, 2016
nice job by these guys, the only flaw is the appearance... frankly speaking, if I'm in a team that aspires to really capture serious attention from constructing an automobile from scratch , I'd definitely not settle for this appearance.. the frame work, engines and so on, all have prototypes you can chose from even by looking online,so the outward appearance is where the real catch, nd hard work is.... i mean, with all the documentaries i watch on discovery and motor shows like love-vendor my ride and the rest, I'd definitely come up with something much better. no foreign automobiles manufacturer will see tgis and want to hire (even innoson won't)... creativity is most important. all the same kudos to them, they should improve in it

Baba we suppose shame. The thing is our leaders no get shame.

Nigeria is a great nation with great people who have had bad leaders for far too long.

We can't re-invent the wheel. We should instead direct the efforts of these young engineers to developing better engine technology that can be sold to car manufacturers. Beating out sheets of metal to cover engine and drive system not manufacture locally is just a waste of their efforts and talents

A five years Chinese boy built a 7inc Tablet with 512mb ram, 4gb hard-drive, 0.3mp front and 2.0mp back cameras with 6000mah, which I bought as my first online order back in 2005

And here you are celebrating 7 full grown up Adults for assembling scrap

Naija still a long way to go, God help us

Praising such poor work is promoting mediocrity. If the bus is good, let them drive it from UNIZIK to Abuja in Aso Rock. If the complete the trip within 1 week, I will personally but 10 of this buses. hisss

Instead of them to be thinking of developing cars that run on solar which is what the world is working towards, they are working on old locomotive cars.

Hissss. Shameful

Anyway, before they say i get bad belle. Weldone sha ooo
