PassingShot:All the lands in the various states are under the control of the state Gov and not FG.BTW FG owned lands are our common patrimony and should no be used to appease any tribe or group of businessmen!!!Better tell your peple that this bill or even if it manages to become law will never be applicable in the east. I can assure you of that.If you people want to continue from where Othman Dan fodio failed ,we are ready for you |

joborskill:if it were such an intelligent move , it would have other alternatives, a Cost benefit analysis ,SWOT etc.But since it has none of these, the "Intelligence" of this idea would only be visible to the stupid, brain dead or zombies. |

PassingShot:the alternative would be to implement the grazing bill compulsorily in the SW only. And made an option to the rest regions. Since the yorubas are accommodating I believe there would be more peace if their land is to be used!! |

[s] Gext22:[/s] You are a tribalist. Assuming i opened a thread blasting the fulani's i wont be considered as a weak link in the south. You guys are not diplomatic and believe violence and confrontations is the solution to every problems. My suggestion so far makes me a coward in the eyes of you and your fellow ipad yoots. This is the reason your lord and saviour Nnamdi Kanu is locked up in jail for displaying bravery without common sense. You claim the cattle herders are killers. The FG propose to give them portions of lands for grazing so they wont eat your farm produce anymore. What else do you want? You preffer they send them back to the north to rear their cattles forgetting they have the right to live and work anywhere in Nigeria just like you When fashola sent back igbo beggars we remmember the reactions from the easterners. Do onto others what u can do to yourselves ![]() |

chukwudi44:ShukuShuku, there are FG clearly marked lands in every state of the federation apart from the fact that it has the right to make use of any part of the state's land for its project. Shukwudi, please suggest ways to FG for solving the problem of clashes between the herdsmen and the farmers. Waiting ..... |

joborskill:Nobody stops them from raising their cow in any part of the country what we are asking is the method they are taking to achieve this. Cattle rearing is not a federal government business it'spersonal so what stops them from renting a piece of land restrict their cows and respect their host? If it was any other tribe that is carrying out this killings do you think the federal government will go as far as allocating lands? |

In clear cases of much death in the wake of Herders, this is an opportunity for the government and all right thinking Nigerians to put lives of ordinary voiceless Nigerians ahead of all the innuendo of tribe, politics and economics. The magnitude and consequences of these deaths goes beyond the games Niralanders want to play in pretense of political sophistication. Put aside all those secret smiles behind your computer screen as you type one thing but mean another for this issue goes beyond not wanting the proposed legislation because of your fears of secrete Fulani agenda to colonies other peoples lands or spread Islam and, on the other hand, beyond you wanting the legislation to go ahead because of your Fulani machismo and secret pleasure at what you think Buhari means for you him being your tribesman. In cases such as this, justice and human-rights clearly trumps all that political game or we are kidding ourselves about nationhood or living in the 21st century. If Herders moving cattle around the place results in deaths of masses of people, ban the practice. Forget the past, this is now, moving forward and working towards a just and equitable society. In the face of the higher priority of safeguarding lives, there is no longer room for the primordial tribal sentiments mentioned above or being being held to ransomed by such. |

joborskill:@OP grazing routes and ranch system are two different things... If what you are saying is the same then maybe u need a better understanding of the bill. |

op I'm yoruba too, from ondo state. you need to see how annoying this fulanis are whenever they take there cattle across the road, causing accident in some instances. they litter the streets with their cow dungs. it's so annoying. you may give your ancestral land to them wherever you come from but it ain't happening here in my state. these people are business men and they should acquire land in their domain to rear their cattle. somebody has already painted the scenario of what will happen in the next twenty years if this stupidity is allowed. I don't want my children to spit on my grave. |

PassingShot:the FG has no right and will never be able to enforece the taking over of Igbo lnad in the east by Fulani herdmen!! I trust the IPOB and Niger-delta militants to team up and teach them some lessons afterall no one has a monopoly over violence. If the FG wants to solve the problem, they should go ahead and ask ther various state governments in the north to build ranches for them as iis obtainable in other parts of the world.Alternatively since we are told sambisa forest is as big as some states, they can be allocated that frest so they can graze as mucha s they like with it. I bet you ,not one inch of our Lands would be ceded to these murderers!!! Buhari would not dare!!! We are waiting and watching |

joborskill:Can I start a pig farm on any piece of land somewhere in the north? And if the owner challenges me I will kill him because I have the right to do business anywhere in Nigeria. Since it's a private business the sensible thing I will do is look for a land to rent rather than kill whoever opposes me. |

Iykopeee:The FG owns all the land your parents built on. If they discover a natural resources on your street tomorrow, they will bring in bulldozers to dismantle all buildings on your street. They might consider you for compensation if you have the C.OF.O. Thats the simple truth. You cant tell the FG how it should use its land, air space and water ways. That is why they are government. The grazing fields will be provided and there is nothing u can do. If u protest any how, i kukuma trust our trigger happy security forces to do their job ![]() |

PassingShot:he has already told you that fg owned lands should not be used to placate any ethnic group, as they are our common heritage. let the herdsmen go about there business like any other legitimate businesses out there. they should stop moving their cattle around or be arrested. they should buy land for their business. |
| Re: Why We Must All Support The Grazing Bill For The Fulani's by EastanPower(m): 1:12pm On Apr 19, 2016 |
PassingShot:The north has very vast expanse of land. The grazing reserves/ranches or whatever should be cited in the north. Only cattle for sale should be shipped down south. |

PassingShot:No part of eastern land will be given to the fulani as grazing fields because none has been given to our Igbo brothers in the north. You can take this to the bank. Chukwudi44 is very correct! |

[s] PreyingMantis:[/s] Your lord and personal Saviour Mazi Nnamdi kanu threatened more fire and brimstones. He is bitting his finger in regrets in a 2 by 2 cell at kuje prisons at the moment Their is nothing like Igbo land, yoruba or hausa land in front of the constitution. The federal Govt owns all territory within the 926, 568km sq of Nigerian Land, Air and water ways. This is why the FG owns resources in every state of the country including oil, gold, solid minerals etc. Dont let ignorance cost u your life. If you claim to resist this move by the FG to create grazing sites so as to end confrontations between farmers and herders, you are nothing but an enemy of the state and will be treated like one. The herders are Nigerians and can live and raise their cattle any where. If u protest, Our trigger happy police are waiting |

What if every tribe ask for grazing land as the Fulanis are doing? Is it today that the Fulani cows started eating grass, why the sudden demand for land outside the North? There shall be no such land for them in ND, our lands are not for cows to feed on |

[s] olaitoro:[/s] Mr brave heart Am sure kanu lectured u well on bravery on his fraudulent radio before his bravery sent him to vacation at kuje prisons. My advice for you is to protest and destroy any grazing fields the FG creates in your states. We will read the result of your bravery on NL frontpage when the trigger happy policemen do their jobs ![]() |
