the bone of contention isn't the AK 47 but the whole pic, Cause if your on training in a foreign land, the host Country is suppose to provide logistics for the training. Our Soldiers can't be using our guns in a foreign land for training purpose, except otherwise .......

But this isn't necessarily true.

The DSS uses the Bullpup assault gun, the NA uses the AK47 because of its field reliability and low cost. But the NA special forces also uses Beryl scoped rifles. So it's really about the purpose. Forces tend to train with what is their standard issue weapon irrespective of where the training is taking place. So if Nigerians are training in the U.K they will still use the AK 47 except they are on weapon conversion training.

I thought you made a useful point about the background terrain; in spite of the obvious warm weather clothing the vegetation looks sparse like the NE. But it could well be Turkey or Israel.

Was interested in your comments about the weapon. Happy you weren't speaking of it as inferior. At 600 rounds per minute, it is still a piece of work in the right hands
