Shine1177:I laugh at your folly for you to think I am pained about the system. I have benefitted so much in the system. I have a very good job, my job takes me round the globe, same with my wife who even has a better job than I do. But I won't use my situation to categorise every other person. By the grace of God in a couple of weeks am bringing pple into SA from naija to come and train. Mechanical engineers (Nigerians) I think I sent femi the info, so bros am doing quite well. SA has done a lot for me and I have also done lot for SA. Like a guy said, someone had cumlade yet can't get a job, I know tens like dat. So don't ever think pple here that rant are frustrated we just say it as it is |

staggerlee:That is where your problem lies. You don't know and you don't want to agree that you don't know. femiaction reported himself at the DHA and the official told him what he wanted. He said he is just trying to fulfil all the conditions on his Work Permit. The official told his to go, that he does not have any business doing in their office since he has already gotten his Work Permit he should go and work or do whatever he wanted with it. I am a living witness. You think everybody is cursed. No! I repeat it again. You sound PAINED! Face whatever brought you to SA and leave other Nigerians with their life. No body advised you not to travel to SA when you came, so you should not make yourself Solicitor-General of Department of Home Affairs. E se sir. ![]() |

staggerlee:It is not in my character to insult people I don't know but I will take exception in your case and say YOU ARE FOOLISH. I MEAN YOU ARE FOOLISH for typing the bolden word. Oju orun to f'eye fo lai fa ra kan ra (The sky is wide enough for thousands of bird without hitting themselves). Why do you chose to be the devil's advocate? This thread is meant for people who wish to come to SA and people who wish to help them in their pursuit. You may get out of here and go created a thread where you can scare whoever wish to follow you away. If Southy has really been a blessing to you as you claim, why don't you want it to be a blessing to another man. Not every man in South Africa are smiling likewise not everyone in Nigeria is smiling too. Leave every man to live his life. If I am not wrong you have passed this way before, I mean some months ago, you advised people to stop coming to SA. For what now? Why don't you take those guy you are bring for training to UniMaid (university of Maiduguri)? Abegi, leave matter for Mathias. If Femi has not gotten a job now, nay for your eye he go come share his breakthrough testimony when he finish his studies. Why will you mock your fellow human being. ![]() |

Shine1177:The condition for critical skills visa is to report to dha with you contract, even a lot of dha staff are not even aware of this condition and they ought to give u a letter to this effect. I know a guy that went to centurion the dha staff didn't know what to do until he wen to jozi before they did the right thing, mr SA ambassador am not mocking femi, I actually feel pain he hasn't got a job and I pray he does. You talk of those opportunities u have, u are an engineer, u are exempted from the harsh reality. What abt pple tgat study other courses like in arts, do they have the same opportunities |

staggerlee:I agree there are some loopholes in his narrative. However, there is truth in most of it. I think what the forum shall benefit from you is guidance nurtured by truth. You are experienced because of the level of past and present engagement with the SA system. It is my candid belief that your success would help guide the others. Institutions in SA are getting competitive these days even in the face of "feesmustfall" and "decolonization" campaigns, the strategy is to attract the brightest and motivate those with some disadvantage. The enrollment levels must be high surpassing previous year's etc. The process of enrollment has been simplified. You get the qualifications, money and meet the less bureaucratic system of visa acquisition. Submit genuine documents in A-Z and you have your visa. The rest is left in the hands of the individual. There are opportunities to earn money as Tutor, you apply and do 20 hours per week, with NRFand other similar portfolios, your finance challenges are relieved. What more? SA is accommodating and anyone interested can take advantage to build a career, home or better prospect. |

Good afternoon my fellow niralanders , I just got into mess over the issue of SA visa as I was in a mess . I met this agent who applied for SA visa for me in march 2016 as I was denied on forged documents on the letter that came with my passport, e said Lagos is bad that I need to re apply from abuja which e did visa denied again on the ground that documents can't be verified. Am tired as I need to go SA for contingent reasons. Please when is the best to re apply to SA again or what is it I can do. I need candid advice. Thanks |

staggerlee:It is not by course you study. God can make a way for any man. Their is this Sister in our church who shared her testimony. She is a school teacher, she has been in Southy for years and she has Permanent Resident Permit but due to work politics towards foreigners they stopped her salary in January and told her her job has ended except she bring South African ID unknown to them she applied a long time ago. She went to Home Affairs and it was discovered that her application was abandoned because of a single document she did not attached, she got the document and within few weeks her ID was release. She went back to work, presented her ID and those devils were put to shame. Her salary was paid even for those month she did not work because those people were only carrying out the instruction of the Principal not of that the government. Since Femi has gone to Home Affairs office and the officials told him to go because they did not know how to do their job according to you. Is Femi to be blamed? If he got school admission with his work permit how is that a problem to any brother from Nigeria? I think every man should know their limit. My point is that you should stop celebrating your Permanent Resident Permit but work hard towards getting your ID, these things are not difficult as you paint them. For your information, I will hold my PR before this year end despite the fact that I'm less than 2-years in SA. Your belief is not necessary. Don't let anyone misunderstand me, what I am saying is that you still make it here. I have met people who have spent 6 year in SA and their life have no colour, they still beg for money. One told me in 2015 that I should not consider staying behind after my studies because their country is now bad. I replied him that this country, South Africa will favour me and work for me. It was not as if I don't have anything doing before I came, I was working in a University in Nigeria but I think and I know I will become a better man if I add value to myself by studying in SA. It has paid off to some extent. It can work for any man or woman also but make sure you come with enough money for your rent at least for a year. If you call me Mr. SA ambassador what should we call you? Please we need you back home to help Buhari fix Nigeria. For your information every minute you spend in South Africa you are delaying the progress of our fatherland. Please take the next available flight. Safe journey. Bami ki Tinubu ati Buhari pe won ku ise ilu o, Oluwa a ma so agbara won dotun. O da bo. |

Shine1177:Na wa o see insults cos you are defending another man's like this. You keep on saying miracle, God's favour as if all these are not applicable in Nigeria. You said a teacher got PR by stroke of miracle that shows that its not the norm. when u say miracle or testimony that means it is an exception. I have never come here to gloat over my PR, I consider it a privilege a rare privilege and am grateful. Thank you for your rare "concern"over a SA ID, yes I have an SA ID and an ID book. ose |

Please fellow nairalanders, let us try to be civil with our comments so as not to defeat the main purpose of the thread. I think the point has been made beyond reasonable doubt that as a PG student you have better opportunities in SA than Nigeria and you should have plans of going back home to improve Nigeria after you've made it. Apologies to those offended by comments of others. Cheers! |

staggerlee:You talk as if you have been leaving in SA forever,I perceive some untruth in your talk as well, although i dont know the guy you quoted but i know someone that got his critical skill permit of recent too,so dont talk as if you know it all in SA.. Different folks with his or her story..stop discouraging people from leaving nija to look for a better life anywhere they like, go home if you want to go they are not forcing you to stay in their country..i dont know what is good about our country,we dont benefit anything as a citizen.Do you think if we enjoy the luxury of light and some little little things some countries enjoy we will leave our country to go to another country to look for a better life? You are talking as if Nigeria is heaven on earth, forget that thing bros |
| Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by lalabu(f): 6:20pm On Apr 23, 2016 |
