Ok. I Will hold u by this comment when the time comes.

Do not worry yourself. Man City since the time of Coach Mancini, to Coach Pellegrini, work with very rigorous training methods. That was why Bellamy and Stephen Ireland could not meet up.

I see Iheanacho making it into the final list of Coach Siasia's Olympics team.

HeHeHe.

See lets b factual, Siasia got it all wrong by dropping Kenneth Omeruo. He to me would have been d only U23 CB player dat can stair into d eyes of the Ibahimovich of this world and say "I am going to stop u".

Or he could be injured one week to the tournament.

As I said. Coach Siasia's routines are tough. Aaron Samuel and Adi could not cope. Chikatara limped off. Omeruo to the best of my knowledge is the most injury prone defender in my team.

No one doubts his ability and guts. I remember his games at the AFCON against respected names. His injuries have been too many and I will not blame Coach Siasia considering him a risk.

What kind of rigorous routine is that? That will b causing players to limp off the training pitch.

That was same thing Success and Iheanacho complained of while at Manu's camp which was partly why dey were relagated to d bench.

So u would rather we pair Zaharadeen and Oduduwa as our CB at d Olympics?

Remember how Liverpool lost their entire backline to similar injuries due to the rigorous training methods of Jurgen Klopp.

Coaches have their preferences it is their way. Remember the repeated injuries of Manchester City players.

It is difficult but players adapt with time to it. Those who can not meet up will have to leave.

At the moment, there is no need carrying a player with quality that will fold Under Coach Siasia's system.

Remember how woeful John Terry was playing for Villas-Boas. John Terry was not used to playing the high defence line.

Coach Siasia will pick those who can cope with his system first. That is the most important consideration.

Who says he shouldn't be considered for 2016 APOTY ,going by the number of minutes he has lasted on the pitch, now let's face it,11 goals in less than 1000 minutes, that averages 1.1 goal in every 90 minutes. Let's say he has lasted 90 minutes in 23 matches he has played so far,we would be talking about 25 or more goals by now, plus several assists along the way. To me he should be a contender, just my sentiments though.

Success injury blow for Granada

The striker faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining fractured facial bones, and could miss a number of important games as a result

Granada have received some disturbing news on the injury front in the aftermath of José López’s side's 5-1 La Liga over Levante as forward Isaac Success has picked up a facial injury that will keep him out of action for several weeks.

The 20-year-old put the Nasrids ahead in the 25th minute, but was stretchered off in the 73rd minute after an unfortunate collision with teammate Adalberto Penaranda in his attempt to shoot a pass sent by El Arab in the goal area.

Granada medics confirmed that he has ‘multiple facial fractures in bones’ and would be examined by a maxillofacial specialist on Friday afternoon to determine the extent of damaged caused.

The injury means that Success will miss the upcoming La Liga game on Monday against Celta Vigo, while he's also likely to miss the home game against Las Palmas.

The Nigerian has made 30 La Liga appearances this term, scoring six goals in the process.

Very unlucky, this means he won't be on the 60-man provisional lists consequently he will not be going to the olympics. He need this Olympics to re-invent himself into Nigeria football settings before other emerging force like Osinsem permanently takes over his place. I just wish him quick recovery.

He should be because i don't see him missing more than a couple games if that. He is very important for Granada and im sure they will do all in their power to make sure his season isn't over.

I think it I dangerous towing in the line of Coach Siasia's boys. That was one of the reasons people were blinded to the fact Amuzie played well in the first game against Egypt.

When we work with that mentality, it makes us not notice other reasons for a selection.

Coach Siasia runs a rigorous training method and players like Aaron Samuel, Adi and Chikatara could not cope. He did not drop them to make space for his boys. They could not fit into the system.

So if Coach Siasia drops Balogun and Iheanacho, It should not be because he wanted to play his boys. We should find other reasons why he dropped them.
yes players like Adi were dropped because of this "rigorous training" and today he is leading the goal chart in Usa with 6 goals in 7 games. The preferred Ighalo is yet to score a league goal in 10 league games.

Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Rejected Overtures From Siasia To Represent Nigeria At Olympic Games Kasımpaşa defender Kenneth Omeruo rejected the opportunity to represent the Nigeria U23s at the 2016 Olympic Games when he was contacted by coach Samson Siasia. This website earlier reported that the Chelsea loanee’s name was missing from the list of 60 players sent to the Nigeria Football Federation. “Siasia contacted Omeruo and asked him if he wants to play at the Olympic Games. His answer was negative, so that’s the reason he was dropped ” an official source told allnigeriasoccer.com . Omeruo has proved a bright spark since he featured for the Nigeria setup at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup and his performance was highlighted when he helped the senior team win the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa. The central defender, 22,would have easily made the Dream Team VI roster for the competition in Brazil as he is still within the age limit.

I know you got this from Allnigeriasoccer's news site.

Well, I have to say I haven't verified this but how can Omeruo suddenly turn down Rio Chance?? *think about it**.. was it not the same Omeruo that indicated interest for Rio 2016 just recently before the April 19 deadline for submission of the provisional squad?

Source 3: Bro, it's all over Nigerian news sites' archives. Omeruo considered the Olympics. News came of his interest days before the April 19 deadline.

There's something fishy going on.... and I'm gonna find out soonest... #smiles

What if all Nigeria soccer is wrong? Their news is most times wrong and only some right. Time will tell shaa...

NOTE: I was still typing and even checked up one little stuff that caught my attention before I clicked "submit" only to see the post above me... grin

Just for some clarification... #smiles

That is not a guarantee Adi will fit into the system. We have seen things like this many times. CR7 went from 31 Premier League goals (2007-2008) to 18 Premier League goals (2008-2009) after Sir Alex Ferguson switched Manchester United's pattern of play.

So Adi's stats is not a guarantee

which system? Are you sure we have a working system for our super eagles? How can we boast of a working system when we do not even have a senior team coach (3 separate coaching team in a space of 6 months).
We played 2 matches against egypt and we had no striker(aron samuel, adi) on the bench in those games because of this almighty system and the hardest rigorous training in the world.

My own is what is actually the imporance of this rigorous training? Will it help us in getting the best out of our players?

What form of training and system do we even operate on because I don't just understand how a player like Adi who finished on number 7 on the topscorer chart in MLS for last season with 16 goals(1st time a portland will ever reach 16 goals in MLS) and already joint topping the league top scorer chart this season will 6 goals in 7 games will find it so hard to make the eagles bench. I don't see why we should celebrate this system.

Different strikers operate with different styles. A player might fit well in one system but fumbles in another.

Ever wondered why Klopp would rather play Origi or Firminho upfront instead of Benteke?

System.

Coach Siasia plays a pressing system that requires much running and cohesive team play. So during training, he drills his players with these routines.

Adi might bang goals but he could not cope with his drills. Coach Siasia is where he is today because he believes in his system. We were not dominated by Egypt. Unfortunately, those guys had time to blend in camp, play together in the same clubs and a more balanced coaching crew.

Where I would blame Coach Siasia was him sending the home based players home. He should have drilled them together and made better picks.

Remember Berbatov at Tottenham, coming to Manchester United and not recreating the kind of performance that had sir Alex Ferguson pick him at the Airport.

In the second leg against Egypt, Iheanacho a striker was on the bench. I'm the first leg, Aminu Umar was a striker on the bench.

This is not about a Super Eagles or Nigerian system. It is about the training pattern of the coach.

Adi and Aaron Samuel could not cope with the training routines of Coach Siasia. Which meant they could not give him the kind of play his system demanded.

We needed size especially in the 2nd leg, our crosses were useless. Even if they weren't in military shape couldn't we have used a big frame in the final 10 minutes when chasing the game?

Towards the end of the game, Ighalo missed a glorious chance after receiving a brilliant pass from Iwobi.

I still believe size was not the way but inventive passes. The Egyptians were good in the air and they were physically strong. Battling with them physically was not the best option.

The Coach thought differently and I feel it caused us. Remember also Coach Siasia suffered injury to Etebo and Amuzie which also affected his changes. He was forced to make only one tactical change which brought in Iwobi.

what is the importance of these rigorous drills. We were unable to defeat the egyptians, we won just a point from a possible 6 with these drills. That is not good enough. We should stop overhyping this Rigorous uncommon training if it will not bring the best out of our players.

My brother joe, Egypt outplayed us in the 1st half of the second leg.

1st leg yes we dominted them but 2nd they dominated and bombarded us with numerous shots. Our boys had 0 shot on target in the first half. The bombardment continued in the second half till they scored their goal.

I find it rather surprising why somebody stick with a system that is biased. Biased in the sense that, you have to leave out quality just to honour your self imposed way of doing things, I mean doctrine. Too bad. That is why theories are different from realities. As a Coach, I rather design a system that marries theory with reality. My system must not be biased. It must marry theory and practice. I can't allow rigorous training becloud my sense of judgement when it comes to player selection. I can't pick players just because the do well with rigorous training and leave out quality players. Mba.
