I think you are of the genotype AA. they are very susceptible to malaria parasite. am sorry, I don't know much about what you can
do about it. a lil googling might help.

on the other hand, I think I know u Johnnysarz. Uniben.

Ur genotype should/must be AA cos AS and SS are occasional carriers of malaria it has nothing to do with ur blood group.

Mosquito nets are the best bet against mosquitoes.

Can malaria really be wiped out in Africa?
Maybe in the next century sha if we work hard at it.

African scientists have to invent vaccines to eradicate Malaria from the face of the earth.

If mosquitoes survive in Europe, Europeans would have invented a vaccine against Malaria.

We start with proper hygiene and making sure our environment is clean.

We should ensure there are no stagnant water in our homes.

We should ensure bushes around our homes are cleared and we should use mosquito net to cover ourselves from the blood sucking demon. cheesy grin.

It is our collective effort to stay Malaria free.

Spread the world.

Please, what blood types are more susceptible to Malaria?

I'm O+. During my childhood and teen years, I got malaria & typhoid a lot, but since I became an adult, I've gotten malaria less than 10 times in the last decade.

My dear it has nothing to do with your blood group but really it has a lot to do with your genotype, from your description I can almost tell you that you of the genotype AA, you survived childhood you should thank God for that

I will do anything

I can imagine the expression on the first moskito that bite you. It will be like good food, delicious meal. Then it will call his brethren to feast on you.

Your environment may not be entirely clean.

Is there any damp area in your house? Moskitoes can reside there as well.

my advice to you is to find an AS gal as wife except you are the church type. reason being that if u married an AA, all your children would be AA. it takes the grace of God and money for children who are AA to survive childhood.

when you hear on the news that millions of children die daily to malaria, they are mostly of the AA genotype.

save your children these suffering by marring an AS. that way, you have a 50% chance of producing an AA and 50% of producing an AS.

to get a 100% chance of producing an AS. which happens to be very resistant to malaria. marry an SS. I have no idea how that may sound to you.

While we are here talking and discussion this.. It is important that one of the reason we still have malaria is because of inadequate control. We know what the Bug that causes it do, how they live and breed and also how to prevent them form our homes. But we are not makiing concerted effort to do something about it.

A vaccine is in the Pipeline for Zika virus, also a genetically modified Mosquito is being release to affected region in Brazil to help create infertility in the mosquitoes and in the end breed only Male and no female which actually causes the Zika virus.

All this is within 1 year that it became an epidemic nuisance in Brazil. But why nothing on Malaria with the millions it kills..

The answer is simple, we have not stood for ourself... We think of our family only and forget that the reason you or your family will have malaria is if the other kids in the school or the colleague in the office, or the passengers in the bus , have it and then mosquito can transfer the virus.

Oh, it is for the government to do something, or I have nothing to do.. But really there are many you can do.. There was a campaign to raise money for Mosquito net but it was only able to raise 2,500 from 1 donor?? What a waste.

https://donate-ng.com/project/92

We need to start seeing the bigger picture and giving back to the society. Millions of dollars are raised in Europe and America to send to Africa to help supply Mosquito net, but we that see the menace of this Disease can't give to help the cause..

We can do better thank just talk.

Lots of good contributions here that we all should take seriously.

In the event some of this measures to prevent mosquito bites are compromised one can take advantage of Gardia Mosquito repellent cream. Its affordable and very handy as it comes in sachets. No side effects and potency last up to 6 to 9 hours depending on variables.

I never was a fan of this kind of preventive measure till I tried it grin grin and I was really impressed.

Of course our major target would be to fully eradicate Mosquitoes completely. Malaria is no respecter of age and class..erm ......except person blood no delicious as one OP posted earlier grin grin grin

So in case some of these weight lifting mosquitoes manage to "tear" my mosquito net or "faint" only to "wake" up after the insecticide spray...I get "odeshi" in the form of Gardia Mosquito repellent cream tongue tongue tongue tongue grin wink as final measure.

Maybe in the next century sha if we work hard at it.

Yes, it can , but having a plan to and proper research. At the moment , the Zika virus is being attacked on all front. the immediate one is a genetically modified Mosquito that cause the Mosquitoes to breed only Males. this is expected to drop the Population drastically.

Also a vaccine is going through 2nd stage testing.

This is because the disease is now consider epidemic..

Do you think there is no mosquito in Europe? Why is there is no malaria?
