You think Nigerian government is being petty over the social media bill? Wait till you get to our neighbouring country Uganda.

According to Uganda’s Information Minister, Jim Muhwezi, the country’s cabinet has today agreed to ban erotic dances and drama as well as vulgar language in the country. Those who break the law risk being imprisoned for ten years or fined Sh10 million.

Earlier this month, Uganda’s Ethics Minister Simon Lokodo said their government would spend up to Sh2.6 billion on pornography-detecting software in the next financial year.

So, soon there will be no p@rn for our brothers in Uganda. Remember them in your prayers.

Re: Uganda Bans Vulgar Language & Explicit Dancing by shammah1(m): 10:52pm On Apr 29, 2016
Even as I'm against explicits and strong words, I still believe that it'll only be hypocritical of any government of a country of different religious beliefs to do that. Parents are suppose to do their homework on their children. Don't enforce religious laws on people in a Democratic dispensation

This bill can never work in Nigeria. It seems Uganda is either an Islamic state or is a very backward country.
