modath:

That sale was one of the most Ashy Moves of Life that Obasanjo made aswear.....

Some Legislators who only served one term bought their houses & are now letting them out at crazy rates!!!

Some.civil servants that have retired to their villages are charging currently serving civil servants an arm and a leg to rent from them while they ball like kings in their villages..

Some members of the committee set up for the sale manufactured fictitious names and bought as much as 10 (1 per person was the approved plan) for themselves while some inhabitants couldn't get the ones they were occupying as at then... Hence it was possible for Saraki to buy 3 houses...

This country is a cluster bleep of messed up nonsense!!

how many did jonathan buy since he established n reinvigorated corruption in nigeria?

Their fada nyash all of them. Even if they decide to rent out a hotel room for the whole year it won't even take up to half of their annual allowance or better still they can go buy a cheap land somewhere and erect a slammed bungalow with that money. Nigeria has better issues on ground than to deal with their stupid housing allowance see their thief face, they want it increased to 20 million. their mates who are mayors in other developed countries don't they stay in flats in the city with their families. Na big manism dey worry their brain. Bastard set of things.

In a normal, corruption- free government, it is rare to see people justling for polical positions like we have here in Nigeria. Thank God change is here, as time goes on very few people will have interest in political office, except those that honestly want to serve.

Every Nigerian saves from their salary to pay rent, don't know why all these politicians can't do same. You collect fat salary, you still expect government to house you, but car for you, furniture, newspaper, medical on top tax payers money.
4m is more than enough to rent a duplex in dawaki, or kubwa. They don't have to live in Asokoro or Maitama.

in nigeria APc has successfully change d meaning of CHANgE. change now in this era is synonymous to STATIC or CONSTANT situation being experienced in the past.
change now means continuing with the status quo.

so many things has changed In nigeria Since the coming of apc!

But it's not by force to be a minister. If you can't live in a 4 million naira worth flat kindly resign. Thanks.

Any minister who thinks N4m is too small for a proper accommodation in Abuja should top the money from his pocket or should honorably resign. Befitting accommodation indeed!

during screening most of these ministers swore to serve the country without salaries but now they hv change their campaign promise.

CHANGE it begins with us the masses.

20 million for accommodation yearly is not too much for the office they hold.. You will understand if you have ever lived in Abuja.

It's change nau. Let dem enjoy it. Shebi them say no money to pay 56,000 minimum wage. But one drunkard is asking for 20million for where he will lay his head. If they can't add their money to the 4million. They should resign or squat or pay hotel.

Good riddance.

My sentiments exactly. Whatever happened to the salaries they earn. Or is it not thesame 'salaries' that the ordinary citizens uses to fund for their accommodation?

“In the past, former ministers lived in purpose-built spacious mansions in Maitama, the Ministers’ Hill, also in Maitama, and the Ministers’ Quarters in Mabushi, which were all within the Abuja metropolis.

“But those official residences were sold to former ministers. So their successors have had to rent accommodation starting with the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

This shows the paucity of our reasoning as a Nation that wants to develop progressively.
Why was ASO Rock not sold to its previous occupants?
