I concur. The minimum wage in Seattle is $30,000 PA and President Obama earns $400,000 PA. Nigerian politicians are shameless. |

The question I keep asking is; why can't Nigerians come out en-mass and put the nation on an absolute traffic until this issue is looked into? There's never going to be any meaningful fight against corruption, election rigging and electoral violence, if these senators and public office holders keep earning the ridiculous amount of monies they do. While citizens who work 7hours per day earn less than or a little above a million per annum, these people earn more than civil servants' entire life earnings in just a year. This isn't right at all..this calls for a revolution, a total overhaul of the system. Nigerians, let's take this issue seriously because it is the genesis of corruption and do-or-die politics. |

Let's kick in for this! Collectively we can stop them. We are much more than they are! We elected them and as such the power reside with us.

Best option but none of them will contest again. It is only in Nigeria that I checked profile of people and in occupation sector you will see politician. Even can't the work of this senators be on part time basis or on wages. |

I concur with this, the moment you reduce their salary, the rea/truel ones that are there to serve the nation would emerge, others would flee.. |

All the senators including Mr Common sense will keep quiet and pretend not to hear or see the news. You wonder why they are ready to kill to get into power. Politics in naija is free money for doing absolutely nothing. |

Hmmm, even when the very teachers that made them who they are today can not complete a good three bedroom flat to leave in while still serving, and if they can't aquire a land while still serving may not be able to raise any good building with his total gratuity after saving the government for 35years. The so call peanut pension are not regulary paid talkless Of harmonising it. I know of one headmaster who retired sometimes in 1993 who's pension money was less than #12,000 as at then because of the economy ans salary structure as at then, do u believe Thet those aged men still receive peanut till now without harmonising their pay forgeting that the same market a senatorsbuys from is the same market these men buys from, here in Akwa Ibom state Governor Udom Emmanuel keep worsening the situation by not paying these old people who thought him on time. I really feel for them when ever the Government organises these punishment called screening for them even when they are not paid. And someone is geeting millions everyday in the name of being a Sanator, Governor etc. Only war will introduce a new Nigeria. |

One senator's salary would have paid over 500 civil servants a minimum wage of 56,000k.Think about it! |

Instead of this people to occupy National Assembly and and ask them to cut down their salary and allowances, they are occupying it for Saraki...We need a revolution in this country. |

I dont believe this picture If we have 109senators in nigeria, and lets just assume they earn 20million each month, as opposed to 29million in that pix That means every month the FG spends 2,180,000,000 (two Billion one hundred and eighty million) a month In 1 year thats roughly twenty six billion Thats insane.
