The reason why I respond is that I don't like it when I see faulty medical information spread on forums like this.
STDs are sexually transmitted diseaseS...plural...a BIG group of disease of which half of the population only know 3 or 5....this are disease that can be spread by sexual activity but it contains as much diseases that can also be spread by many other ways. So no reason to stigmatize others just because a disease is also sexually transmitteable.
Only a limited amount of STD's give as symptoms itching...you can even carry some very bad STDs without having whatever symptom for a long time.
A lot of conditions that go together with itching in the private areas have nothing to do with STDs nor with bad hygiene, sometimes rather a sign of too good hygiene.
Apart from that, the eczema you mentioned is a whole different story all together, nothing to do with bad hygiene or sexual activity.
The spread of ringworms is also a totally different story.
So please end the witchcraft medicine.

If you ask me, most of the causes of itching is just related to shaving (or irritation by soap/textile/hot temperatures etc). And do we mind when a guy shaves there ?

Of course I know the above, but here in Nigeria, we use crawcraw to generally describe the state of an opponent's genitals. Whether it is scientifically accurate is not a factor.
