Very funny. The money is mine, why would I tell people what I earn?

My wife knows how much I earn but after a quarrel she told friends how much I earn and that I dont give her enough from it, so my friends went to the community where we grew up and spread the information, since then I get all kinds of invitations to child naming ceremonies, weddings, launching, birthdays everyone expecting to get a share of what they see as 'huge sum' that I earn.
Many also call me that their wife or child is in hospital, their son just got admission and needs money for registration etc and if I say I dont have money at that time, they think I am just being very wicked.
Its not a good idea except if you are sure the person you are confiding in will keep it solely to themselves.

I tell only people I feel won't plan out my salary for me. I can tell my mom. I can tell my babe only if she asks.

Well, it depends on the family and friends. I shared my salary information with a friend and that was because she shared her own first. Moreover, her salary almost doubles my own. I don't think I can do that with a friend who earn lesser than me.

I shared my salary information with my elder brother because he contributed to my academics.

Note: it is easy to share salary information with friends if all of you earn roughly equal salary so it won't lead to jealousy or inferiority complex. When I start earning my millions monthly, nobody will know

Nothing Bad in disclosing your salary to family members n fiancee or spouse if they demand. However one has to be carefull disclosing such to friends so they wont start sharing ur money on ur behalf.
Even with family @ some point requires wisdom especially if u have dos who are information carriers .. Just saying

for me is a NO NO NO,not again,I did that sometime ago and it has cause me a lot expecially expectation from friend,some will envy you,infact some wish you die or poison u simply because they think ure better than them.once again,never in my life will I make such silly mistake again.infact I won't let where I work talk more of my salary status,ot even my wife,my parent,anybody

With wify, maybe not so bad. But with friends, so so bad to share with friends. As a matter of fact, a so called friend of mine who happens to be my colleague in the office is trying everything to paint me bad or maybe have me sacked simply because of 30K difference in our monthly take home pay.

I have over 5 years experience before I joined the Organization and he's got only 7 months experience. Once he found out how much I was going get as monthly take home pay, he became so jealous that he stopped talking to me, he won't even wait on me for us to catch the bus together anymore.

He's all out to tarnish my image.

I don't know the satisfaction he will get if I loss the job.

But he will surely fail.
