i dont always support the idea of converting bungalow to a duplex...

was the bungalow design to accommodate this floor structurally?

Yes, according to the original owner. However it is mostly the external walls and dpc that is being used. The duplex will have its own supporting pillars

There will definitely be pillars according to the design.

Me: I never say NO where am not an expert.

Its a gamble shaa. Worse case I knock everything down before it gets to decking slab. So its either I save or lose 4-5mil.
