So you tell me this..if you don't have the means of achieving your dream now, is crime the only solution?

Means : the means here isn't an issue, anyone who can afford visa fees, air tickets and has access to accommodation or even friends and family who could lend a helping hand abroad is a solvent aspirant.

Dreams : am so glad you agree that a quest to immigrate is a dream, a worthwhile one at that.

Crime: compromise is no crime in this case, one must follow open doors. If crime was the focus, I like to think, going through a visa process says differently.

From all your post, I have come to realise you are one of the individuals who have invaluable information about Canada, such that can help increase the standard of living of the good people of Nairaland.
It's a call to assist them with this invaluable information and have heavens bless you!

This happened to a friend of mine dat was denied last year!!!

wen he was called for medicals....he went and did the medicals...though he has been treating dz hepatitis B for sometime even before he went for the test...buh yet....after completion of the normal test the hospital referred him to conduct some further test on his hepatitis level which he spent extra 65k....buh alas..he was later refused on incomplete medical examination, along syd with personal asset and financial status..

to diz end...the so called hepatits B is a red flag.

HBV by itself isn't the red flag, the person's case might be.... I know people with HBV who are currently in Canada. My advise is this; if you have HBV or know someone who does, before applying for trv ensure the necessary tests has been done to know if you are a carrier or not, and that it's being treated properly. This isn't just for your application but for your own good.

kife? You are not stupid, you are intelligent enough to know what i'm driving at here.

Lets stop pussyfooting this and call a spade a spade, compromising document is fraud, forgery and its a criminal act.

I don't want to be believe that God does not hear or answer Nigerian prayers but i think we are one bunch of hypocrites, today is Sunday and church is full, people are praying and castling the devil including some visa applicants but at the same time you have forged and lied in your application while praying to God for success?

Who are we deceiving? Because of our own self centeredness we ruined it for others, application takes months to be decided because almost everything we submitted can not be trusted.

Who told you that your destiny can only be fulfilled in Canada that you have to commit crime just to achieve it?

Its hard to get college that wont require deposit fee. But many universities will give you opportunity to pay on resumption. Since you have 2 1 why not Masters in university.
Masters is more expensive and I would prefer schools that I would be allowed to pay fees on resumption....

Well... Thanks very much... For the reply..

The truth is asking about admission processes isnt encouraging signs for the person answering that you are willing do to all you can to get what you want.
It only shows that you want to be spoon fed..

(Well you don bribe me with your felicitation)

I know centennial will require a deposit before they even send you and admission letter, conestoga also requires you to pay abotu 2,500 to claim ur seat.
Seneca , Fanshawe will only give u a deadline of tuition payment which is about 3months to your program start date....

Do your research as a whole of other schools are available where you do not need to pay....
Thanks for the reply... Would definitely do my research... If I want to be spoon fed... I wont go thru the stress of reading thru part 9 to 10....

I just felt like asking... Well... Make I start with Fanshawe, then I check other schools...
Happy Sunday bro

Well said!
I appreciate your sincerity, indeed alot of Nigerians have misrepresented the national image far too long.

Yet, not having an account that runs in millions shouldn't be a factor to limit the dreams of a purpose driven fellow.

I tell you this, not every Nigerian wants Canada, most prefer Europe, they go as far as sailing through the Mediterranean Sea on some plastic boat, risking their lives, just to get to Europe...why? To alleviate the poverty and lead a better life.

For few who obviously have some educational background, North America is the Focus, should they give it all up and stay growing old in Nigeria because they don't have a "Heavy account". I think not!

Canada isn't the only place to fulfill ones destiny, yet, it's a better place to grow a career as compared to my dear country Nigeria, QED!

Oooh...hmmm...dis is quite informative...@kriss77....do u mean an apps can be denied based on HBV? I also did a quick research on it, n' read HBV is like other virus, but not as deadly as HIV for d time of infection. It could get critical when it's up to 30yrs in d host body dt damages d liver.
it could also be contacted via sweat, sex...n d rest....Or am I missing somethings....i doubt if HBV can lead to denial....
Like justwise said....seems it can't lead to denial....

i could bother about verification sir.

What if i did not forge a statement but i borrowed some amount to be deposited in my account for visa purposes because what you have can be perceived as not enough........then i make some debit and credit just to initiate transaction history.....
after submitting my application i have to return the money as it cant stay there for 14weeks....

Pls did i Just commit a crime......

@All

Please Let's not waste any space here discussing whether Canadian embassy verifies bank statement or not because it's a pointless debate.

Apply for your study permit with genuine documents and worry not about verification or if you decided to submit forged documents then good luck with that but don't come here to ask if the embassy will verify it.

Form A is within a week in most cases. Pessimistic duration could take 2 work weeks. Your fee happens to be a token besides. Get yourself to one of the bank head offices tomorrow.

Masters applicant are more favourable in visa consideration compare to pgd applicant. Although it depends on your packaging. Try and get the two admissions. Use university for your visa application. After getting your visa, you can then decide on what program to go for.

Lol it's true, but I actually don't care - that's their problem! I'm done with my final exams, so I'm gonna be working full time now for the summer! There are a lot of jobs you can take as a full time student.

Some students work at MacDonalds, Tim Hortons, Wendy's, at the shopping malls etc. I and few other students I know work as a customer care agent for Rogers/Fido. I know like 2-3 people who work for an insurance and credit card company!

Are these places always hiring? I have a sister who is coming over by the end of May and I want her to start working as soon as possible so she can make rent. How much do you save money on accommodation? She already has PR and wants to make a few CAD before starting school

Hello people on this lovely website. I am a new user who though has been following the trend here. I want to say I have been very much impressed by the testimonies, suggestions, pieces of advice as well as revelations many of you guys have posted. I feel Nigerians are more united here than elsewhere. Just a pity our government and leaders have handed us these predicaments we are facing. How come our visas will have to be stamped in Ghana rather than Nigeria, the far larger country? Anyway, I am not here to address all these, but to greet all of you and start asking my questions as the needs arise. I have applied to MUN for a MASTER'S DEGREE IN LINGUISTICS, though I studies English at my First Degree level. My admission has been post poned till Fall 2017 because I just submitted my application. I will, tomorrow post the statement from my department for you guys to weigh and tell if I have hope of being eventually admitted then because I was not given a categorical statement as per the admission. Thanks

Yes, they are always hiring most times. I'm sure she'll get a job in no time, in probably the first 2 months.

Do not print your application form, and do not use the “signature panel” button at the top of the application. Save the form and then upload it to your MyCIC account. After you upload all required forms, a “Next” button will appear below your uploaded documents. After you click the “Next” button, you will be prompted to enter your name and answer a security question (these two steps are your electronic signature). Applies to documents with the validate button too.
you can review this as well...http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=740&top=23

hope it helps!!!

Hi.. the truth is schools (for safety of the intl student) normally go overboard with costs of prices, sometimes including their own cost of accommodation when you might wanna stay off campus. CIC have a particular recommendation asides school fee payment as options from school would be made available for you to pay on some stuffs negotiable. CIC knows tuition is not negotiable, the reason they stated their amount in addition to school fee. But regardless, putting 18/20CAD is thoughtful. Just be sure it corresponds with your SOA.

hello guys
I've been reading this thread but have not seen anyone used half uncle ( ones father maternal half brother) as sponsor.

Question
Can I use my half uncle as sponsor
how can I prove relationship to him owing that he has a different surname to me

thanks in advance
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Nobody: 1:20am On May 09, 2016
He knows what it is we desire even before we ask Him
It is impossible for Him to abandon or forsake us.
He loves us abundantly and would not cease to cater for our needs.
He is forever protective.
Though we might feel sometimes that God does not hear our cry or acknowledges our struggle, it is no reason to give up on praying to him and asking for his intervention and supernatural contributions in our lives. He's been seeing us through this and life itself,,, never be discouraged. Don't loose hope.

To those that got their trvs, congratulations guys....Please keep the rest of the NL family in mind even if it's just by acknowledgement to God through a heartfelt sentence. I pray for God's abundance favour in your lives academically, professionally and spiritually. NL's expectant trvs, prospective students as well as intended applicants, as far as you believe deep down that you did (and is doing the right thing), leave the rest to the Almighty. He knows your intentions and would assist you. Even though things might not go our way sometimes, it no justifiable cause to give up.

This week and other forthcoming ones would prove favorable to everyone by His sufficient Grace, in the name of His dear Son Christ Jesus.... Amen

While it is true that using a sponsor related to you is an edge, it's not a guarantee. However, your sponsor can declare an affidavit as well as having his letter of sponsorship notarized if need be. Also, if he has assisted you or supported you in any credible way over the years, you can state that in your SOP. Better still, if there's a picture he's captured in with you and other family member, it can be uploaded.
Above all, pray.
Cheers
