ECObank And GTbank To Close-down Their Offices In Ekiti State.

There is an indication that ECObank and GTbank will be closing down their offices in Ekiti state starting from next week due to the scenario going on between the state Governor and the banks.
Due to the scenario, the Governor of the State has therefore instructed workers in the state who have their salary accounts in any of those banks to quickly change their accounts from those banks.
He further stated that any workers who fail to comply immediately must not expect any salary whenever it will be paid as the State government has nothing to do with those banks.
According to the news, out of many reasons that caused the rancor was how the banks insisted to grant loans/bond for the State Governor as requested.
The result of this scenario as regards of closing down of those banks may lead to the sack of workers in those banks.
To my own belief, “In looking for the solution, we must not be searching for calamity”
Retrenchments again in an area and situation of joblessness, how manage?

As a woman, I support Fayose. He is greater than Awolowo and all the other yorubas leaders. Tompolo must be our next leader and fayose the vice. Two great men standing for the truth.

Are the two Ekiti Govt banks? They only live on Ekiti state govt funds or what?

If the state won't deal with those banks, they face customers who are not Salaried customers and move on.

Dissecting the issue that led to this is critical.
All banks in Ekiti bank road agree to work wih state govt for the repair of the leading road to their business area. All others complied except these two. The govt have since cut all ties with their business properties by taking out services offered to them including accesss culverts to their premises to show displeasure on the part of govt.

The two banks should address the courts if aggrieved to test the popularity of the govt's Actions on revenue drive just like the catholic diocese of Ekiti did.

Very unfortunate. Ekiti should have known better.
He should as well ban the two bank staff not to walk on the road. Are they not paying tax?

Is it under a must to force social responsibility on companies and is GTB and ECO bank not paying tax to Ekiti state govt in term of PAYE? why is the governor now forcing road construction on them? Pls this governor Fayose need to rethink
