WARRI

SOLDIERS invaded Oporoza community, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State and home base of ex-militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, at the early hours of Monday, in two gunboats in search of members of Niger Delta Avengers, the militant group bombing oil installations in the state.

The military men, who came at about 12.30 am while the people were asleep laid siege at the community until about 5.00 am when they departed. A source said the army reportedly acted on intelligence information that the militants had secretly converged on the community.

However, the Pere (traditional ruler) of Gbaramatu Kingdom, HRM Oboro-Gbaraun II, Aketekpe, Agadaba, who was scared stiff with his subjects during the invasion, offered, Monday, to mediate in the face-off between the Federal Government and Tompolo despite his dissatisfaction with the neglect of the kingdom by government.

But the rampaging Niger-Delta Avengers, which earlier claimed that it had no link with Tompolo and in fact, issued him a three-day ultimatum for denouncing the group, remained unperturbed, as Vanguard gathered that it had concluded plans to extend its attacks to Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Calabar.

A source said leaders of the militant group reviewed their operations at the weekend and were satisfied that group was able to effortlessly cripple oil operations in Delta state and was willing to continue with the bombings if President Muhammadu Buhari fails to address their demands.

Modified:for those quoting me,no be who dey alive dey use light and fuel?
Do the dead use light and fuel?
How would those killed by herdsmen in Enugu and other parts now use the fuel and light(that it's price is to now sell over #100).

Buhari , the Northern elites and their South West lapdog desperation is laughable to say the least.

Let's watch and see how the use of force can solve an age long problem in a region with so many poor misguided and marginalized youths who are ready to kill or die die trying to.

Na Osun u dey talk. As at last month, Osun workers have gotten their salary onlike Bayelsa that is yet to pay her civil servants since november last year.

All these so called militants are thiefs, thugs, and touts who are only after their own pockets. A good example is Asari Dokubo who used the Niger Delta agitation to amass wealth for himself and eventually built a university in Cotonou, far away from the Niger Delta he claimed he was fighting for

You need to wake up , nigga !

This is a new generation of misguided Niger Deltans that have seen you all for who you are , our Niger Delta leaders that can talk sense into them are not even being listened to.
This is a new order , a brand new day my friend though it would be too complicated for your parasitic ass to decipher now.

Ondo state is arguably the largest custodian of oil reserves (inclusive of brent and heavy oil/bituminous oil) in this country, 'probably' more than all other states put together!

However, some ND miscreants will not let us hear word . . . jumping up and down like headless chicken.

We heard much more than this vitrol when John Togo, Henry Okah, Sobomabo Jackrich Ateke Tom, Asar Dokubo etc still held sway. Eventually, all their huffing and puffing came to nought. Talking about Asari, the fatso went to build his university at Cotonou, I guess Cotonou is now in the Niger Delta.

Dont get it twisted, I am for the disintegration of this country .... But meanwhile, tell Governor Seriake Dickson to pay the Bayelsa state Civil servants the salary he owes them since November last year

Tomorrow they will turnaround to play PMB for their failure. An oil rich state is still owing her worker 5 month salary.

Majority of the states are under 'receivership' and will continue to owe workers until Nigerians are ready to do the needful.

The only solution to get out of the woods is to restructure Nigeria into regions.

@98990.... It is a shame that you've run out of steam to defend your fucckery of a comment.

Little wonder you guys in that region are always clever by half despite the huge free schooling you got from Awo , the man who committed genocide and went scot free.

Here goes another unintelligent mind feeling fly.
My history taught me that for every civil genuine uprising you'll always have criminals and profiteers hijacking it but that still won't kill the consciousness and awareness that has been created , it is just a matter of time before some smart ass with focus and dedication picks up the line and give you a run for your money.
Continue deluding yourselves , the wind of real change is about to blow and the world will witness .

So you are aware that some states(most Oil producing states inclusive) owe their workers salary; yet you still support criminals who sabotage oil production by vandalising oil pipelines; thereby leading to a revenue shortfall.

How else do you want these oil producing state like bayelsa to get fund to pay thier workers salary? You expect militant- criminals to get paid their 'allawe', whereas Civil Servants are denied their legitimate monthly pay, right?

if i tell people they wont believe me. Ondo has more oil than se ans ss put together. What i dont understand about our people then is that we always panic whenever there is a drop in oil supply from the niger delta. Does it mean our claim about ondo oil is false. That is the mystery about we yorubas.

Do you really believe we are leeches?

Support criminals? You are just trying to be smart by jumping to conclusions.

The reality is that our 36 states structure is no longer sustainable by 'oil'. The early we take the bull by the horn and restructure this fraudulent entity for genuine development the better for us all.

Unfortunately greedy elites/politicians and their hanger-on won't allow such, hence our going around in circles doing same thing that never helped.

Over 5 decades of independence and we are still talking light, fuel, roads, salary. Is that not a fact that the old ways had failed us?
