Japan to invest $1bn in Lagos monorail project..

The Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Akinyemi Ashade on Monday disclosed that France and Japanese Governments will be investing the sum of $1 billion in the construction of mono rail project in the State.
Disclosing this in Alausa during a Ministerial press briefing in commemoration of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode’s first year in office, Ashade explained that the continued increase in the state population had put pressure on the state government to partner other governments in a bid to improve the standard of living in the state.

According to Ashade, both countries had earmarked the funds following the state government’s previous achievements.

He said, “In a bid to expandi its development partnership with the Lagos State Government in urban mass transportation, Japanese International Cooperation Agency, JICA will commit the sum of $1billion to development of a mono rail which will connect Marina to Victoria Island and Ikoyi.

The Commissioner said the need for the project was the outcome of the preliminary survey on Mass Rapid Transit, MRT system in Lagos metropolis conducted by JICA and Lagos Metropolitan Transport Authority, LAMATA.

Lasgidi everywhere = California of Nigeria.

At this rate, Lagos might end up buying Nigeria if others don't 'double-up'.

Can they start integrating the economy of the region already.
While at it, start insulating against the madness in the country.
DAWN is moving too slowly for me.

Relative comparative GDP/economy ratio to sister states and other countries; not the environment.

e.g. if California were a country, it'd be the 8th or thereabout richest country in the world by nominal GDP, likewise if Lagos were a country, it'd be the 7th or thereabout richest country in Africa by nominal GDP.

Now this is a good news for all Lagos residents. This is the first time I believe Lagos might get a proper railway system.

Genuine question. What happened to the used Canadian train Fashola bought for Lagos? This shouldn't be allowed to die a quiet death.

Been to Hong Kong a few times and you cannot but marvel at the world class engineering of the Jr train from the airport to the city.

My SS brothers.

This is what happens when you allow peace reign.

This is what happens when you vote people who believe in development.

Cross River state with Ayade seems to understand this too.

While the west are creating enabling environment for foreign investors and increasing in monthly gdp, some people are busy polluting their land and chasing away prospective Investors all because of their hatred for the president.
Buhari will 'come and go' but the damage you have done to your soil will remain for a very long time.
If Nigeria eventually split out of all these tribulations, I wonder what will be your faith. No soil for agriculture, no clean water for fishing, no foreign investors (they will surely move their investment to the west and east, knowing there is room for more oil discoveries across these regions). You might be left with nothing than to leave your faith in the hands of the Israelites.
Then it might be too late, and your case might be that of WHO SEND YOU.
