please my people if I made mistake in this of my topic. there a lot of phones I love to buy out the but some of them made by IPS LCD display which I always compare to any amoled display ....but to my satisfaction I preferred amoled display to IPS LCD especially inside d bus in the night if someone with expensive LCD phone either iPhone , lg,Huawei,HTC and others sited beside someone hold even lower PPI Samsung amoled phone hmm! ......... simple and the best eye catcher....... I don't kn may be I'm the only one love amoled display

Amoled screens display true black without the noticeable white backlight as present on the IPS screens. It is also power efficient.

In addition to the above, Amoled screens display high resolution images better than IPS.

But why some top phone manufacturer uses IPS LCD instead of amoled ..... I mean like apple , lg, HTC and others

i think IPS LCD is cheaper than Super Amoled. But i prefer the Super Amoled display.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. While amoled and super amoled displays are vibrant and make colors pop, IPS LCD displays a more natural colors and that is why professional photographers prefer IPS LCD. Also amoled can tend to be over saturated.

Amoled screens use less power, hence save more battery and produce true blacks. However IPS LCD produce true whites (whites on amoled tend to be yellowish) and are less expensive to produce.

It is good to note that all the major OEMS put a few proprietary technologies on top of the foundations laid by AMOLED or IPS LCD – technologies usually given a baffling custom name – and that's why two AMOLED smartphones may not match in terms of depth and quality even if they're of the same type. In other words the quality of a phone's display is about more than whether it uses AMOLED or IPS LCD.

I prefer amoled display to LCD amoled is sharper

thanks .but what is purpose of using natural color in smart phone when vibrant and oversaturated make screen attractive....... when I was using iPhone 5s their was a day I nearly smatch my phone when my brother brought out his galaxy s4 bcs I compared d price of mine to his s4 and his s4 screen more attractive than mine

True amoled screens look more attractive because of the vibrant colors. I use a phone with super amoled display and another one with IPS and trust me my amoled phone is really attractive to look at. But the is no denying that white colors look a little yellowish on my Samsung while the white looks a lot better on the iPhone. This is very noticeable when viewing a webpage.

Both displays have their pros and cons. U might prefer amoled but believe me there are people that actually prefer the natural colors of IPS. I know soon apple will also adopt amoled as many of its flaws like screen burn have been rectified.

i knw most pple prefer amoled&super amoled 2 ips lcd display,incliding me,bt there ar som ips lcd display that are very kul.i once compared the display of lg g3(quad hd ips lcd display) with smasung note 3( full hd super amoled display),& lg g3 display is very sharp compared 2 samsung note 3 display.l,although Samsung display also is very good,bt i give lg g3 d winner....any1 dat has noticed wat i said can also contribute 2 wat i'm saying.
