Responding to the recent comments by David Cameron, Cobus de Swardt, Managing Director of Transparency International said.


What an epic answer to a careless and irresponsible coment , by a man who happens to be a grand child of those who have been aiding and abating corruption for ages.
There are still sensible and honest people in this world, after all.

The truth is,the Statement made by cameron isn't a new thing for Nigerians....the good thing about it is the fact that we have a leader whose aim is to curb out all form of corruption nd therefore end all 'Derogatory' terms used to describe this Nation

Panama list (where billionaires hide their money), no names of GEJ, Deziani or Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla. But names of many APC people.

Daily Mail of UK releases list of those with choice properties in UK, names of Audu Ogbe, Ibori and Alamieseigha. No names of Deziani, GEJ or Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla.

No wonder that are arresting all GEJ relatives and torturing them against court rulings looking for even the faintest evidence as all audits are proving GEJ Okonjo-Iwealla and Deziani served the country JUDICIOUSLY AND HONESTLY.

God will soon start punishing all those who bore false witness against their neighbour, from Sahara Reporters, Sanusi, Oshiomole, Soludo, to those who have been sharing fantastic tales of moneys recovered from Deziani. First punishment in the plagues to hit them will be lakpalakpa and okirikportor.

Good write up, I cant understand and imagine politicians stealing public fund and investing in another man country, and the citizens are busy blaming the innocent country of where the money is invested as been corrupt, countries that need the money more than you need it,in most of western countries you cant leave their borders with huge sum of money without proper papers of the purpose, they blame the failure of their government and society on another passive country that did not beg or force you to bring your countries wealth to them.

They did not help you to keep the loot, because there government dont have time to investigate the source of income you are bringing to their country, many Nigerians own businesses in Germany and most of them bring the money from Nigeria, you mean the government is keeping the loot for those businesses or they will leave the problem facing their country and start investigating every single money that came into their country. The better you guys understand that the West need more more money than you guys, the better for you, Every country need more investment, it is a duty of your country to prevent the looting of your country money not the destination country, the destination country is innocent, you bring money and deposit in another country bank for business purpose and you want the bank to start asking every of its depositor where he got the money he is depositing from, you cant leave western countries with more than a specified amount of money without investigation.

Transparency International should visit Nigeria to see the way we fight corruption, lock up all opposing and dissenting voices, the latest is Adegboruwa.

Let them come and witness a corruption fight where opposition personalities are deemed thieves while those in the ruling administration are considered saints.

* When Akin Ambode resumed as governor of Lagos State, the total money he reportedly met in ALL Lagos State bank accounts was a paltry N850m! It was the lowest in recent memory. Not that alone. Capital budget for the fiscal year had been executed up to 85%! Yet, that was just FIVE months to the year. We only saw capital spending without capital projects. If they present these facts before you, you cannot deny you don't know where these monies went to.

*Rivers State has been complaining over almost N100b missing few months to the end of one of your minister's tenure as governor. Invite Wike over and you will hear ween!

* Each state being ruled by your party was taxed to contribute to your campaign. Depending on the strength of their treasuries. But they tried to outdo themselves. Sir, can you swear by Allah that you don't know why many states could not pay salaries today? Ask your campaign treasurer! And also banks they took overdrafts from!

* One of your ministers today, who is seen as agents of change, actually took N1b bank loan to prosecute a second term election he lost in 2014. If you are keen at probing campaign funds, sit him down and ask how he intends to pay back. As I write this, the loan is still pending!

* There are couple of banks and oil service companies who contributed to your campaign funding too. Your EFCC has pretended as if it is not aware.

Politicians know themselves. They know how they fund campaigns. It is public funds. Contracts are inflated or outrightly not carried out. Funds are diverted. Banks play their own role. Contractors key in. On the eve of election, banks overwork themselves. From minister/commissioner down to special assistants, cash is provided for them to go and prosecute elections in their areas. These runs into billions. Is that acceptable? NO! BUT THAT WAS HOW YOUR OWN ELECTION WAS PROSECUTED TOO.

I learnt you turned the blind eye when all these were going on. You jettisoned your long held personal principle not to have anything to do with thieves. After winning election and assuming office, you wanted to pick that principle again and expect someone like me to hail you? No sir! Lailai!

Since you saw nothing wrong in people stealing to run your own campaign, you have no moral justification to go after those who equally stole to run their own campaigns too. Public funds are public funds, either in Abuja or Lagos!

I will continue this campaign until your DSS picks me up. That's the worst they can do!

How can someone you know is a thief gives you money to hold and you accept it only to turn around and call that person 'corrupt' what about you?. I don't blame them, i blame those people that out of hatred for buhari supports any negative report about the country forgetting that we are in the ship together and God forbids anything happen to it, 'Titanic would be a child's play'.

Yesterday i read an article on Vanguard about the President's Comment on Abacha not stealing Nigeria's Money, reading the article made me understand something. The only thing that made the President made such statement can only be attributed to him trying to clear the name of his Friend and benefactor. This is what is happening in this administration. We all love Nigeria, we all wants things to work because if everything spoils in Nigeria, it won't only affect only "wailers" or "zombies" but Nigerians as a whole. I support the fight against corruption 100% but i am against the selective fight against corruption. So far, the people that are called corrupt are top supporters of the the opposition or people who are perceived to be a threat in 2019. i will ask a question, what happened to the allegation brought against Amaechi to the EFCC? Where did the campaign funds for the President come from what happened to the 3 SUVs received by the President from the office of the NSA? because if Doyin Okupe is indicted, then Mr. President is complicit. So far the EFCC is showing it is only a tool of the FG not just this Administration but also during the Administration of OBJ to go after perceived threats. So far i just think if the Government is serious about fighting corruption, it should go beyond opposition, there are people who looted this country in his party, they are working with him, i will therefore be assured of the fight against corruption if the government can go after people in his government who have stolen public funds either state or federal level.
