What!?? Are you saying we must run the 3.2km in 20 minutes? That's a short time to complete such long distance
That's why you need to start running so your body gets used to the stress before the time. Mind you there are marks allocated depending on your arrival, the faster you finish the run the higher your mark. If you arrive at 20mins 1sec you will be disqualified, that's for ladies.

I haven't heard of such a situation, in that case the chairman of the board will decide what to do. It can go either way.

They'll rather pick the top 10 or so in such a state, depending on the time taken to finished your race. I.e, From the highest down to the required number of candidates

Haven't you heard of a situation where only 3 people completed the race on time from a state and they needed about 5 for the final list yet they didn't let anyone else from that state join the 2 while they had their oral interview? Hmm it's a long story.

Exactly! I will tell you guys what I told them in 2013, download the sports app called Endomondo. it will help you read your distance covered and timing so you know the progress you are making.

Started keeping fit already after a long break... just don't know if it will be allowed for someone to continue the exercise before the marathon in selection
Currently using cascarun for bb10 and covering 5k...

3.2km in 18mins is time required for an average human to jog... not run... provided that u are physically fit

It's possible, those who come for selection board find time in the evenings to run before the D-day, especially when your state doesn't have any activity.

2mins'25sec should be the maximum time to complete 1 lap or cover 400m if you really want to make it in 18mins. Best of luck to all and sundry!
Re: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by thexzy(m): 4:14pm On May 11, 2016

true that.
Without a defined speed you will find it difficult to cover before the stipulated time.....Remember is time-based. You need a reasonable amount of speed bro if one must make it before or @ the exact time given.

Re: Nigerian Airforce DSSC 2016 Recruitment Out! by dammyllare(m): 4:40pm On May 11, 2016
If anyone has gone through a race before, you will know the longer the race, the longer the time it takes you to complete a track
I mean if you were able to complete the first 400m in 2mins plus,it will take you around 3mins to complete the second
So pls it's about the zeal and how well your body would adapt
Plus...we should also know the weather condition is of immense importance..i mean you will be dehydrated easily in kaduna around 4pm compare to southwest because of the heat and less moisture atmosphere
So let's try and beat our timing to 16mins for those in southwest so as to be able to cover that km in kaduna
I hope it helps

exactly ! I find it had hitting 4km in 17min back in kano but here in Ibadan I did that same distance in 15min 50 seconds. so weather determines too
