WWhat baffles me now is that folks ask about my presumed wife anywhere I go. Having moved slightly up the societal rung of hierarchy recently, I wonder if marriage is a debt that must be paid by my ilk. I shall mention a few happenstances to buttress my assertion.

I went to a [father in the Lord] for prayer. After the prayer, he said God puts it in his mind to remind me to quickly work toward getting married ASAP.

Secondly, headache won't let me be of recent. So I consulted a doctor in a state hospital. She asked questions in a bid to establish the cause of the problem, but found none. She then sent me to the laboratory for Malaria parasite and full blood counts tests. All the results are satisfactory. She again requested for HIV test (note that these people disguise the test as VT test). The lab scientist then started throwing her own foray of questions. Along the line, she asked about my marital status. I replied that I'm single.
"How could you be single at this age?" she said, dropping her pen, as a way of registering her amazement.
"I left NYSC in 2013, and got a good job in 2015. This is 2016, please, where does marriage fit in in this story?" I asked rhetorically, my thoughts floundering between set goals and what the society termed necessity.
"Have you been having sex?" she asked again.
"Of course yes" I replied. That answer heralded a brief silence in the room as she scribbled something on the paper. I knew that response must have triggered resentment in her, judging from one Open Heaven flyer hanging in front of her.

I have hitherto summed up presure from relatives and friends to get married as mussings of neonates whose thought patterns are fated to flounder in the water of a pool with genuinely arid shores. But how do one handle incessant, illogical advice from obviously learned individuals? As a matter of fact, I am not planning to get married in the next 2 years.

It could be God speaking through them brother for a reason tho...i 've grown up to understand that until we fulfill some certain obligations in our lives, we might no know peace...it's not by accident that they are all of a sudden and @once asking you to get married, something might be attached to it...you will get the message clearer when you get married...


But, don't just delve into marriage o...tell em to give you time to prepare your mind and probably scout for a good girl as i know you have female friends or if your present girlfriend is worth it, who says why?...my guess.
