Sms? I'll guess they'll just past the names of shortlisted applicants on the career website.
They usually send SMS to those invited for the selection board.

Ask yourself first, which did you apply for? We know NN Dssc process isn't on and the last course went into training not long ago.

Hello Mimzy, pls do you work with the Nigerian Air force, you are well informed. And can I knw the next step after this screening pls, and what grace do someone who studied Political science has, in terms of being shortlisted for the next stage, cos my course wasn't listed although related to law and sociology which was listed. Thank you
mimzy007:
That's why you need to start running so your body gets used to the stress before the time. Mind you there are marks allocated depending on your arrival, the faster you finish the run the higher your mark. If you arrive at 20mins 1sec you will be disqualified, that's for ladies.

My dear I don't work with NAF, I'm just the highly interested type, over the years i got to pick alot from here and there.
The next stage is called the selection board, and the list for those who will be invited for it is what we are waiting for. A thorough screening will be done at that stage(credentials, medical screening, exam and oral interview, then the 3.2 km race will all happen there). Those who successfully completed that stage will wait to see if their names appear on the final list for training.
As for those whose courses were not listed, all I can say is going by alot what we have heard in the past, people have scaled through with such an issue, only time will tell for this particular process, don't be discouraged.

Please, my LGA attestation letter was signed and stamped at a Liaison office in Lagos, along with 2 of my passports, but couldn't get the attestation of Good xter from the Liaison officer.

Hope the signing by a Liaison officer will not affect me?
Secondly, can another person give me a letter of attestation of good xter?
And if there is any problem, what should i do?

Thank you

Personally I wouldn't advice anyone to sign at the liaison office, unless it's time for the selection board and you are not able to get any of the listed persons. The reason is things seem different this time and you wouldn't want to shoot yourself in the foot by presenting something Contrary to instructions, you may get away with it but then again you may not. As for the attestation of good character, someone else who is In the category of those listed can issue you one.

of course for DSSC selection board will be June, airmen won't be done until 1st June and ours will be right after theirs. selection board takes about 10-12 days and if it takes 2 weeks after that for the list to be released July it will be, that's what their calendar says and what they are working towards.

This 3.2km isn't beans o. I was on the treadmill today. It took me 18mins to cover 1.86km. And I felt like my soul was coming out of my mouth.

Mimzy007, are you sure man can survive this?

Lol. Bro, to cover 3.2km in 18mins, one has to go faster than just jogging. One basically has to run for 18mins. It's not easy.

The Distance isn't that long as we all anticipated, if only u can get urself to the pitch, the job will be well done. I first Covered a distance of 2K before starting the race of 3.2k on a stretch which I completed in 17mins'59sec'23nanoseconds. So in all, I covered a total distance of 5.2k this morning. This is just a trial version of me now after I stopped doing this 6months ago.

Smiles....guys it's not that easily to cover 3.2km in 18mins
Believe me I use to run and even the expert professional runners don't use anything lesser than 12mins to cover such distance and they have been practicing for years
Anyways,i had issues with sportrate app I downloaded...my normal timing saw me cover 3.2km in 17mins but sportrate showed I covered 2.4km
I guess the app is not accurate

Well then, since everyone is alluding to how easy it is to complete the distance. It's either the treadmill is inaccurate or I'm extremely unfit. We'll see how it goes on the day.

Man can survive it, those who did it don't have 10 heads, on that day when you see the competition passing you by the will to push forward will come like never before. Just get fit enough so that when you push on that day your body won't revolt.

Expect questions based on your specialty, coz virtually every speciality is represented on the board. Question concerning the Air force and armed forces, then current affairs.
