They shouldn't take Nigerians back to stone age. Mechanized farming should be encouraged. Not all this.

Everyone must not farm. Only about 2% of Americas population are into farming but they can sustain the entire country and even export. But over 30% Nigerians are involved in one form of Agriculture of the other yet we're not self sufficient.

Its not about saying "everybody must return to the farm", its about doing things right. The Govt should encourage Mechanized commercial Agriculture. Otherwise even if everyone returned to the farm with how's, shovels and cutlasses we still won't produce enough output to sustain ourselves.

I don't think there is need for any mechanization in this kind of farming. What do u want to mechanized in 200 heaps and 1 plot of maize stand. Don't tell me u need tractor to to plant tomato and vegetable in your backyard
