If people feel all they can contribute is to ask for past questions, leave them be or better still share with them, stop insulting them like you know better, even if you do, many of us here are first timers, it's okay to be nervous. At least they're not using your data, and you're not the owner of NL. Don't be a bastard.

Hello @mimzy007

Trust you're well.
I'd like to know, if successfully enlisted into the Airforce DSSC, is there some sort of possible conversion from whatever you are enlisted as to a Pilot that would actually fly?
I mean besides the conversion to a regular combatant after some specified years.
Something almost immediately after being enlisted, particularly when you already have commercial pilot training.
Thanks.
Piloting is very sensitive in NAF I can't tell you converting to another line will be easy, it's always best to go in as a pilot. The dynamics change from time to time, they appreciate pilots alot but it won't be as swift as you think if you go in through another wing.

In fact from my own point of view I believe that is what will happen. The Airmen still have another batch waiting to be trained as soon as The current batch passes out in June so even if they don't have their selection board now there is no problem, unlike ours where no one has been enlisted in the last 2 years.

quick one mimzy007

the letter of attestation of good character, who should it be addressed to?
thanks
well ,if you ask people on this thread we have numerous. Some went straight to ' To whom it may concern ' as it could be anybody, some addressed theirs to the Air sec, others to the Officer in charge of the enlistment. I haven't done mine by this is a friend used and I think it's OK Considering the Air sec branch is in charge of the process.

The Air Secretary branch,
Nigerian Air force.
NAF headquarters
Area 7, Garki Abuja,
Nigeria.

Gentleman I am aware of the plan to put them together, which is not even definite at this point. A point of view is a point of view not an definite info.As you can read I never gave a reason for the postponement I only said even if it is moved they won't be losing time in their case as a batch is even still waiting. Thank you

the 18mins given is the highest for an average fit man, 20mins for women
The world record holder for marathon cover 1km in less than 2.7mins but NAF only want u to use a minimum of 5.6mins to cover the same distance
So u should see that it's not an athlete that they want but a normal average person that can undergo training
A doctor should know, there are normal range for every thing
Same way, a doctor perform/request for investigation to know if a patient is within the normal range, that is how NAF are conducting theirs to know those that are within the normal range
Confirming that you are fit does not mean you will remain fit, but it's better than enlisting an unfit person that will most likely die during training, and the family will start asking compensation
And also being in administration, if you are not fit to be a soldier will be a disaster.

I apprehend your excerpt, Being a medical doctor have nothing to do with your fitness, no discipline is superior in Nigeria Military one need to be physically and medically fit, a few profession with CPL, NCAA and Phd even apply for NAF..

am having this feeling that both airmen/airwomen and DSSC will go to Kaduna together according to the schedule for all states...we will all go through the same screening process, and since DSSC won't be writing exam before going to Kaduna...then why the delay ?...my advice: All DSSC applicants should not think the "notice" on NAF website is for airmen/airwomen alone..DSSC list on is way... # mythought

Paddi mi, every stage in this whole process will keep killing the thread until its let down 6ft below the ground. From Application to Screening to Shortlisting to past Questions to 3.2km race training to selection board to final shortlisting to training proper to commissioning until another regime. The thread will just keep synthesizing

From The First Day This NAF Thread Was Created The Past Questions & Answers Has Always Been The Topic Here.. It's All There In Page 46/49 ..So I See No Reason Why The Demand For The PQ Will Still Be The Topic Up til Now. The Time Has Gone, Training Urself For The 3.2Km Race & Passing All Necessary Test Should Be The Problem Here Not Some PQ As If U Don't Already Know Ur English Language, Maths & Current Affairs.

The point Macmilla is making is that NAF does not have to be so strict on the 3.2km run. And the time in which we're required to complete the run is a bit stringent. Yes we're soldiers first but we're going to be employed within administrative capacities anyway so we basically don't have to run like Olympians. Plus cos we're fit to get in don't mean we'll remain fit when we're in. There are so many fat and unfit military personnels out there. Some I saw even at the zonal enlistment centers; looking at them, you'll bet they can't run 3.2km to save their lives, yet there're soldiers with NAF.

At this age?...Oga you still need to be fit when you get in....how you gon survive running almost everyday during the six months training....if you guys are complaining about running 3.2km in 18mins(inside 1 particular day)....they dint ask you to run for a whole day or several hours. Weda Doctor or no doctor...it all boils down to how determined, interest and love you guys have for the job...otherwise that 3.2 won't be causing somuch arguement here...y'all should just channel doz energy you using to drop somch post here to start working out already. Sorry to say this....na una type go join naf finish begin punish civilian wit 3.2km in 5mins.
Sorry guys mak una start work out...nobody dies.
