pls if u don't mind can u list the gripens e/f advantages over d MIG 29M/M2

Lol
Its insignificant compared to the the price.

Brazil is getting gripen E/F for about $120 million each, almost the same price as F35.

i read that 35% of the Gripen is from US component and technology , their is also british technology on it , and the United Kingdom veto-ed a JAS-39 Gripen sale to Argentina , so the United States also has a veto on Gripen sales. wink
Yes US provide most of the components of gripens jet (about 40% or higher). Even the engines are from US. Britain provide the radar and Italy also provide some components.

On the flip side, I'll go for the MIG-29M/M2 over any Gripen variant below the E/F.

RD-33MK still only has a service life of 4000 hours - flying only 50 hours month thats 2 new engines every 5 years. So if you operate 18 aircraft at the minimum of 50 hours a month you are looking at 36 new engines every 5 years or a total of 108 engines in the life span of your squadron angry

Mig 29M also has 1.5 Times the wing loading, meaning its less maneuverable and requires longer-take offs.

Gripens PS-05/A radar is better than the 29M's Zhuk-M and I would chose the 01.m2 RCS any day of the week

Then you factor in that the Mig-29M is only intergrated with missile systems from the 1980's (R-27, R-77, R73) compared to the more modern Gripen weapons

Its really a no brainer - and we havent even spoken about systems-fusion or netcentric warfare, or the fact that the Mig29 has allmost no Recce abilities.

No one wants it because it's target market doesn't trust America.

American Equipment comes with a lot of baggage and petty sh*t!

The only thing that's wrong with this jet is that it's American.

i dont know where you read UK vetoed JAS-39 gripen ,but from what i have read is Argentina has shown interest on Gripen E being manufactured by brazil and the issue is britain would force america to veto the sale as it provides the engine. britain has interfered in the sale of jets by israel and spain to Argentina but from the 1990's American has approved the transfer of three dozen secondhand secondhand A-4 Jets to Argentina

well i found a lot of sources in google , i can put them because the antispam bot here is too strict

this one for exemple

Saab not selling Gripens to Argentina, official says

A proposed sale of 24 Saab Gripen E/F combat aircraft to Argentina is highly unlikely to happen, a senior company representative told reporters on 27 April.
Speaking at the manufacturer's Linköping facility in Sweden, Ulf Nilsson, head of Saab's Aeronautics division, made his assertion in response to media reports that Argentina was looking to source the aircraft as replacements for its ageing Dassault Mirage jets.
"[A Gripen sale to Argentina] is not something that we are involved in, and isn't something that we would consider at present. Maybe in the future, if relations with the UK were to improve it could happen, or [if relations don't improve] then perhaps we could source some [UK-made] components from elsewhere, but right now no," he said.

Nilsson referenced the United Kingdom as the British government has indicated that it would veto any Gripen E sale to Argentina, which disputes its sovereignty of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas). The United Kingdom will manufacturer many of the aircraft's flight and mission systems, such as the radar, infrared search-and-track (IRST), landing gear, and ejector seat. Indeed, it has been quoted that 35% of every Gripen E will be UK-built, giving it considerable leverage over whom it might be sold to (while alternative suppliers for UK parts could be found, it would not really be practicable to do so).
Prior to Saab's most recent statement on the issue, Brazilian government officials had said that they did not think that the United Kingdom would veto any such sale to Argentina (Brazil's interest in the sale lies in the fact that the Argentine aircraft would likely be sourced from its licenced production facility that is being set up to partially satisfy the Brazilian Air Force's order for 36 aircraft).
As Nilsson explained, however, even without a UK veto the earliest opportunity at which Argentina or any other export customer might be able to receive the Gripen E/F is about 2022. Until then, the lines in Sweden and Brazil will be focused solely on turning out aircraft for their respective air forces.
It is likely that Argentina will not be able to wait this long for a replacement fighter anyhow, and while this might make the country an attractive prospect for the Gripen C/D, which Saab is to continue marketing and developing in parallel to the E/F, the Swedish manufacturer is unlikely to want to upset such an important industrial partner as the United Kingdom in offering even this aircraft.
The Gripen E is one of a number of types that have been linked with a possible Argentine sale over recent months. Others include surplus Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons from the United States, the Israel Aerospace Industries Kfir, CAC FC-1 (JF-17 Thunder), and J-10 fighters from China as well as Sukhoi Su-24 'Fencer' aircraft leased from Russia. While some commentators have dismissed the Su-24 proposal as a Latin American hoax, it surfaced again only a few days ago during a meeting between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Of all these options though, the Chinese FC-1 proposal appears to be the frontrunner at this stage.

i can excuse on this issue due to their ongoing dispute with Argentina, but if western countries were to look for the slightest excuses not to sell weapons to their buyers !the future will be bleak for their weapons manufacturers, number of countries selling weapons and of good quality is increasing day by day .with more sellers than buyers ,america refused to sell armed drones to saudi they went and bought them in china

That is true, but don't forget that most African Countries don't get the same kind of treatment Saudis and Egyptians do.

America Claimed to be helping Nigeria but they blocked the sale of Second Hand Cobras and Chinooks to Nigeria which weren't even part of their Military or Stockpile.

Not yet bros.
Budget was passed less than 2 weeks ago and I believe it was included in the budget. Only three was budgeted though because of the zero based budgeting (only the amount that can be received this year is included). Although, if the sanction is lifted we might not buy as much as 24 which was previously planned.
