The issue of electricity is one thing that will Nigerians understand how incapable this government is. Let's be honest, how did it happen that immediately Buhari won election, there was light all over but it slumped within a short period of time. It simply means they met an achievement on ground but could not sustain it. Yes, Fashola and Buhari destroyed what GEJ handed over top them, improved power supply. Did you remember the terrible flooding that affected about 19 States during GEJ, including "FOOD BASKETS" of Nigeria, yet 3 lumps of tomatoes were not sold for N500. Food was available all through his tenure. For security, he tried. The Northern elites didn't allow him to crush Boko Haram at elementary stage until it was a big issue, they wanted to stop him then because they were killing only Christains. By then, "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North". But when they started killing Notherners, GEJ became a waek president. The issue is, GEJ didn't get enough support from some factions in Nigeria, Notherners wanted him out by any possible means just to have a Nothern president. So, they did everthing within their power to frustrate his gvt and get him out. Today, we have a Nothern president. I wish things will get better for us, for the sake of our children and peace loving people of Nigeria. As Buhari as a president, I don't agree he's the best thing that happened to us. GOOD MORNING NIGERIA. 2 Likes |

Policies against Corruption GEJ was a leader who fought corruption with policies that will last, he lead strong institutional back ground for fight against corruption. The TSA & IPPIS remains some of Goodluck Jonathan's policies that will always speak for him. I also acknowledge what the current govt is doing with the policies. Treasury single account (TSA) policy compliance was introduced by Goodluck Jonathan to block leakages of revenue generation. In the words of lia mohammed " TSA deal was initiated by the immediate past administration but only enjoyed a new lease of life under the administration of president buhari..." Another policy of GEJ to fight against corruption is the [i]integrated personnel and payroll information system(IPPIS), it was introduced to block ghost workers syndrome. I also commend president buhari for his effort in continuation of this particular policy 2 Likes |

Nigeria has adopted a policy that 15% of the total annual grain harvest should be held in reserve. The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) will hold 5% as a core strategic grain reserve, and individual states are to hold another 10% as so-called “state buffer stocks.” Policy like Grain reserve......GEJ policy ......................... and now...... Nigeria will tap its strategic grain reserves to rein in food prices, President Muhammadu Buhari(2016) 1 Like |

If one tells the truth they term it hate , this is a free society as far as you are free to believe whatever you want I reserve the right not to believe whatever I want. Learn to argue with facts on ground. Are the discos performnig ? Do the discos have technical and financial capabilities to run those companies? Why is every consumer not billed ? answer all these for me to know it's not you who is blinded by hate |

Scholes007: The sale of electricity assets to discos that don't have the capacity to run them is the greatest disservice GEJ and his cronies did to Nigeria and it's on that premise that I ask you to bury your head in shame instead of boasting about GEJ performance in the power sector which was an abysmal failure. |

louqas:looking at disco, what do you mean by nigerian asset were sold to cronies? Let's stop this blanket comments that sometimes are very delusive to gullible folks. Disco was sold to companies that met the requirements needed by Fg then. So i don't know what you mean by cronies. |

The privatisation process has been described as one of the most successful, transparent and ambitious privatisation programmes in the power sector on the African continent. At the Abuja conference , US Deputy Secretary Ichord described it as “the most comprehensive and most transparent privatisation transaction in recent history” - See more at: http://newafricanmagazine.com/nigerias-unfolding-power-reform-programme/3/#sthash.IAohi1XX.dpuf http://newafricanmagazine.com/nigerias-unfolding-power-reform-programme/3/ The privatisation was most transparent in history on African continent ...... Scholes007:NIPP was/is an Obasanjo program. Geregu, Omotosho, Olorunsogo power plants were built (started and paid for) by OBJ. GEJ started the process of linking them to gas pipelines. |

AZeD1:Who did geregu II and Olorunsogo II? Between 2007-2009 those projects were stalled because of inadequate funding. Was only resumed almost @ yar a dua's death, completed and commissioned by jonathan. It just like saying Gej did Alaoji II if it becomes completed in 2019. 1 Like |

Scholes007:They were stalled because Yar'Adua paused it not because of a lack of funding. |

Scholes007: Yes my friend. FACTS are pretty stubborn things. Each time I challenge a Jonathan hater to a FACT based debate on Jonathan's achievements, devoid of propaganda and innuendos, they Always Always run. I find that APC successfully turned hating Jonathan into a religion, making it as irrational and myth- based as these stone age religions that Nigerians are already beholden to. |
