Nice one. They should improve on the packing area as it looks disorganized so as to increase productivity. One can imagine the number of people being economically engaged by this venture alone! I just hope Kenyan vegetable exporting companies will not see the export potentials Ugu offers because should they do na bad market for us as all they need do is to come down to Nigeria and buy tonnes of Ugu seeds and teach their farmers on how to grow it as they already have better farm linkages, more organized packaging centres and daily flights that cargoes their fruits, flowers and vegetable daily to Europe. With such packaging they are way ahead of us but we can build on our capacity.

This is s welcomed development, but sadly their moneybags who profited from the oil subsidy will seek all efforts to truncate it since it isn't fast rewarding as they are used to dependency on only oil exports. |

lanre2009:She is rolling in money from her exports at $23 per kilo. Had my first taste of the purple tea in 2014 at the Agricultural Show Kenya held annually in Nairobi. I still have my preference for Chai masala which is a blend of Kenyan black tea, ginger, cinnamon, black pepper(what the igbos call uziza) cardamom and cloves. Have it mixed with milk, it is very relaxing to the body. |

raker300:The quality is quite good, fresh like you will get in most markets in Nigeria, their are equally small scale importers bringing in Scent leaves, Ewedu and green, bitter leaf, Oha, just name it, its here...London is almost like lagos these days, I have even seen an Igbo woman in Dalston Market selling Live African giant land snails.. That market is like a more organised version of Tejuosho Market.. |
