cckris:The story of unfair balance is largely the creation of some political jobbers and some ethnic anarchists. It is usually amusing how these anarchists always say SW and north enjoy niger delta oil most, but tactfully omit the SE while they nudge the SS to view the SW as their enemies. The truth is that the 3 big tribes in Nigeria are fleecing on Niger delta oil contrary to whatever ethnocentric propaganda some dubious anarchists are peddling. The thread below gives a more comprehensive list of oil block owners in Nigeria, kindly view and point out how the north and SW are the ONLY ONES fleecing on ND oil, kindly tell us how the SE and some others are not ably represented in this list of exploiters? https://www.nairaland.com/3110309/oil-blocks-owners-88-owned http://www.nigerianmonitor.com/revealed-check-out-the-full-list-of-owners-of-nigerian-oil-blocks/ |

Believe it or not, we only call names when it comes to NDA and the likes actions but right under our nose, oil Bunkering is regularly being reported going on in Ikorodu with our gallant military in their defense. Nothing has been done about it. Concerned citizens have been calling in to make a report on this, yet the govt is playing a deaf ear. huh...............bros think am nahh, just think am |

ovieigho: Beadex1:From 80% to 90%, no doubts, some dubious northerners control some juicy oil blocks, but it is meaningless to filter out some northern names only (some others have even created reports and filtered only northern and SW names all to play some dubious tribal divide politics with the minds of the gullible). But now please, why don't we do a simple name checking exercise to point out the full list of the 'big men' exploiting the Niger delta oil. https://www.nairaland.com/3110309/oil-blocks-owners-88-owned http://www.nigerianmonitor.com/revealed-check-out-the-full-list-of-owners-of-nigerian-oil-blocks/ |

obailala:judging from the well tailored list it is important to note that even with this multinationals northerners and westerners are still majorities... should it Be so? i love northerners and westerners the same way i love Other tribes but my issue with them is cheating on us.... can u tell me why all the headquarters of exon mobil , chevron and the rest are situated in lagos state .....also can you tell me why ibaka sea port is not on motion up till now just becos the top shots wants only lagos seaport to work what about epz in cross river state .... the list is too numerous.... Bros federalism and regionalism alone will solve this lingering issue. united state re practicing it why can;t we emulate from them too |

Only a wise man can spot the source of his problem and retrace his steps quickly. Its a pity he loves his pride more than his country.. |

Goke7:Monthly allocation due to LASG was never seized. Lagos got all her monthly allocation as at when due like other states. Only the LGA allocation that was seized and it's for some months.. That was during the 2nd tenure of OBJ administration. Go and check your facts very well.. LASG even went to court because of it.. |

Beadex1:Dont let yourself be deceived by the theories and propaganda of some devilish deceivers; the people responsible for the woes of the niger delta are right there in the niger delta. Firstly, most companies prefer lagos as HQ because lagos is the commercial capital of Nigeria, this is not a Nigerian thing, it is a global trend in business, businesses sit close to economic and political power bases. Secondly, the security climate is a major reason why even companies that setup their business in the ND eventually flee. I will use Warri which I am very familiar with as my case study. When warri used to be a hotbed for violent clashes in the late 90's and early 2000's, do you know how many companies fled warri to PH and Lagos for security reasons?... Do you know how much it cost to provide mobile policemen security for your staff 24-7?.... Even a massive company like Shell (which could even afford the security bills) just recently moved it's HQ to PH and stopped all operations in its western division (delta state) because of this same security issue. Do you know the amount of life blood that was drawn away from delta state because of that move?... Hundreds of other smaller companies feeding off Shell would also leave. Some months back, Shoprite opened its first branch in warri with all the funfair. The shopping complex became the only attraction in a town which has become a shadow of itself (since shell left). About a month after its opening, some stuupid youth group invades the complex, chases everyone away, vandalises properties and loots valuables forcing the closure of the mall. http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/01/embarassing-delta-yoths-attack-and-loot.html Now I have no idea if that mall has been re-opened since then, but this is the exact reason people take their businesses away from these places. Or have you ever heard of Shoprite being attacked for no reason in any other part of Nigeria (even in the volatile north)? Now you raised the issue of seaport, the security is also the exact reason why business men from as far back as the 90's preferred to bring their goods in through Lagos (which is a coastal port) instead of the ports in the ND which are inland. No business man will spend millions and billions importing goods only for his goods to be ransacked and stolen by miscreant pirates in internal waterways. The low patronage of those ports by importers is what killed the ports. However, some anarchists have successfully polluted the minds of people claiming it is sabotage by some particular tribes. Sometimes Finally, you asked why ibaka seaport isnt being built, and then I wonder why typical Nigerians cannot just sit back and think for themselves but always wait for some political or ethnocentric manipulators to manipulate their minds. The reason ibaka isn't being built is the same reason why we have only 4 dead refineries in Nigeria since the 70's, its the same reason why roads built by colonial masters decades ago cannot even be maintained, its the same reason why all federal institutions are dead across Nigeria (not only in the SS & SE as some diabolic manipulators have succeeded in poisoning the minds of many with) and it's the same reason why a country of 170 million people still struggles to generate less than 5000mw of electricity.. Just incase you are still not clear on what this reason is, it is called bad leadership. Returning to regional governments would be the only solution, at least we wouldn't have some people deceiving others that it is the next tribe or ethnic group or zone that is hindering their own leaders from doing the right things. |

YourFatherYansh:Stop ranting here online. Just tell Ur President to run an all inclusive government, let him know that this is not 1983. Let him crush them as he threatened and let the North blow up every means of transporting food stuffs so it can perish there in the North. What we need is one Nigeria where Equity and fairness prevail and not where some region are been looked down on despite the fact that economic survival of Nigeria totally depends on them. |

obailala:The propagandists re desperately trying to divide the country along ethnic lines! I knw the ignorant ones amongst us will fall for it. But those of us who re enlightened will continue to expose the evil plots of the ipodians. They (Ipodian and SEners) ve come to realise that the detestation, hate and grudges that ve tAken a permanent place in their hearts is actually inconsequential. Hence, they re desperate now to pit the SS against the North and SW! May God punish them for sowing hate in the hearts of Southsouthernans against the north! |
