How many of the oil companies are owned by the jaws? How many gold medals have jaws earned for Nigeria in intl events in swimming? After six years spending billions on amnesty, Niger delta ministry. They got it the VP, then presidency. They are still thugs in the creeks. Shame!! Mind you the Isoko , urhobos, bin pis, itshekiri produce huge amounts of oil too. They are not militants, but protect pipelines, work, get educated and are stable mentally.
My friend...Is it just ignorance? Or lack of understanding?? What I said up there doesn't in any way relate to wah u just typed...nevertheless I'll ignore it and just reply u....talking about 6years and billions spent with nothing to show for it...I would also ask you what has the Nigerian govt. Got to show for the many years of exploitation and extraction from the NDhuh We (Nigeria) is still queing up for fuel...still begging for power...no roads.. Poor facilities in our colleges and Universities.... Abi Na only Jonathan tenure them extract oil??....All d agencies and ministries allegedly created for the ND are political..where their political goons are being appointed as minister nd DGs...I would have loved to just stop here..buh it seems u know nothing about the ND and how Militants carry out their activities...u said there were no Urohbo militants?? Or isoko militants?? I may say u made a very poor research...just say u hate d ijaws...nobody go kill u

LET'S ANAYLZE THIS ISSUE SINCERELY DEVIOD OF BIAS

1) No oil company can ever mine crude oil or any resources at that, without paying what we call "royalties" to the host government (federal government). This royalties cover for the cost of the crude mined, the land and any damages the mining has done to the land.
QUESTION
Did federal government complain the royalties weren't paid?: NO
Did the Oil companies pay their royalties?: YES
WHY THEN DESTROY THEIR (OIL COMPANIES) PROPERTIES?

2) The federal government in turn pays each oil producing states extra federal allocation (13% derivation). That's why Sokoto's federal allocation is far lesser than Bayelsa, despite far bigger than Bayelsa
QUESTION
Did Niger Delta governors complain the allocation wasn't paid to them by Federal Government: NO
Did Federal government pay the allocation: YES

WHY DESTROY THEIR PROPERTIES

CONCLUSION
If oil companies pay their royalties and federal government in turn pays each oil producing state its allocation and yet Niger Deltan still complain of neglect, I believe the missing link is with the STATE GOVERNORS. These people should be held responsible rather than vandalising and destroying government and other people's property.

NB: The presidential amnesty program is still on, and while the government is still struggling to repair the pipe line damages, they still have to fund the amnesty program too.

Have you finished?
Look around you now and realize Nigeria is still the hell you know even after your silly analysis..

Those people I blv had suffered neglect from FG and the state. Their environmen is badly degraded. If the state gov is no doing what she is expected to do, I think the FG is supposed to call her to order

deolumike:
UNTRUE!

the 13% derivation that the FG pays to oil producing states, how is it spent?

These boys should hold their own political and communal accountable.

Bombing the pipelines will not solve their problems.

You are absolutely right @Vitalis

on the other hand though, one wonders why the FG is finding it difficult to protect it's 'lifeline'
creeks are not easy to navigate(and very easy to hit and run) but i agree they should flood the delta with soldirs and air support as well as use sss to infiltrate the militants and bring them down.but military probably making money of crisis

Do these people have elders that commands respect, they could listen to?

Blowing up pipelines is rendering the environment unsafe to inhabit.

No clean water or good soil for planting will exist in those areas.

No president or senator, including the senator representing twitter constituency, shall come and live of invest in that environment.

Note that previous bombings has only yielded a result of enriching a few(tompolo and the likes), and a few that were sent abroad for training.

Time to sit up and find another way to press home their demands. It should also be for the betterment of the whole area.
YES OO. They have Elders like Professor Tam David-West!! And Elders like Junaid Mohammed and Adamu Ciroma.

NwaEzefuNaMba:
Residents at Ikeinghenbiri community in Southern Ijaw council, Bayelsa are fleeing the area following a clash between rival armed groups at an oilfield operated by Eni’s Nigerian subsidiary Agip Oil Company (NAOC).

A resident said Sunday that the groups were struggling for control of the Ogboinbiri-Tebidaba crude trunk line which passed through the area.

Mr. Ebidimo Joseph said that residents were scared and were leaving to neighbouring villages for cover.

“We understand it is a conflict between two armed groups for the access to the crude pipeline, one group claims to be working to safeguard the pipeline and said the other group are vandals; they have been shooting.

“The sound of the gunfire is scary, and there is no sign of the Joint Task Force soldiers who are supposed to be patrolling the area, we have not seen any soldier,” Joseph said

According to Joseph, the pipeline was set ablaze while the two groups engaged each other in the gun battle adding that there was no way to ascertain if there was any casualty yet.

He said that a thick ‘cloud of smoke’ had enveloped the community and polluted the atmosphere in the area.

Efforts to get comments from Col. Isa Ado, Spokesman of the Joint military force deployed to protect oil infrastructure in the Niger Delta were futile as he declined to take calls to his mobile phone.
Col. Ado also did not reply to text messages requesting for comments

Wherever he is God must inflict B.I.G punishment on that Dumbo Badluck... that bought arms for these cult groups, for his own selfish reasons.

Imagine if there was no PVC and Card reader, the amount of political violence we would have faced in the Presidential elections would have destroyed this country as a whole.

His day of reckoning is coming very soon

Lol this ur reasoning is bleeped up, not all Niger Delta community have oil... so non oil producers will still eat from the oil
Yea...buh they won't b able to call us 5%..thugs and all sorts of names...d gas flaring wouldn't affect only d oil producing communities.. it'll affect almost d all region....so their eating the "oil money" would be justified..
