I think there is much panic already but people need to know that recessions and economic booms make up the circle in capitalism. Things are hard now but it will only give way to a period of economic boom very soon
You mean like Greece? Or like Venezuela?

Nigeria under Buhari would know nothing like a rebound. Downhill is the only way to go.

Don't get it twisted or be unduly optimistic.

Imagine what the person above me said, whether mumu or not mumu government, we are in it together. Let's dollar rises higher, we are all in to bear the consequences of Gej administration. We should tell ourselves the truth cos we cannot continue to play ostrich. I learnt in the news earlier on how about 30 trillion were shared during Gej era when oil price were at optimum level. We should hold those that are responsible for where we find ourselves today, not an innocent man that God sent to liberate us.
but you conveniently forgot the the 30billion that disappeared from government account when buhari was the minister of petroleum and was traced to his personal account at Midland bank in London? fela sang much about that but you choose to forget, billions also got mispropriated when he was the ptf chairman and you also forgot about it as well as about other apc financiers like atiku, obasanjo, amechi, tinubu etc.

My dear friend,
If you. Keep reading tabloids as sources of factual news, you may never be able to hold these bunch of clowns responsible for anything over the next 3 yrs.

Sensational tabloid news flashes seem to be the only known policy thrust of these clowns.

The Nigerian economy was actually much much better, much much better managed up until last may.
The FACTS speak for themselves.

When you start lining up for toilet paper and other essential commodities in the very near future, pls keep blaming Jonathan.

These clowns love people like you.

Globally, economies that oscillate around single-commodity exports are all having torrid times owing to economic downturn and the drop in global commodity prices.

Scapegoat Buhari all you want, truth still remains that he's not responsible for your woes.

I remember Ss2 Econs when we were taught galloping inflation, it was a scary term expected to be seen commonly in situations of war and natural disasters. But lo! We're experiencing it today in Nigeria. Thats what you get when your president is a certified economic failure.
That's what you get when folks like modath, omenka, dropshot et al continue to delude themselves **** on NL, youdefend failed economic policies of our ineffectual buffoon president.
Una see ur life in black and white? I hope say una dey do ur shopping for Aso rock at government controlled prices. Continue to live in delusion.

A dullard who took almost 8 months after his swearing in to appoint MEDIOCRE ministers, and whose government has been drifting aimlessly ever since without a clear focus, purpose or direction - other than an almost fanatical ghost busting obsession with 'kwarapshun'. Ladies and gentlemen, this mutated cow called Buhari is hopelessly idiotic.

Everyday kwarapshun kwarapshun kwarapshun. What fuckery? How about focus on the economy and do the most basic things that would have immediate and lasting impact on the common man. You're fighting kwarapshun but increasing fuel price and heaping quantum misery on poor Nigerians. So you don't think they would soon start protesting and demanding BRING BACK CORRUPTION (BBC) if that would make our lives better. Yes Jonathan was supposedly corrupt (according to you) but at least our lives were better under him! That's all that matters, you old dumbfuck from Daura!

Even if you want to fight corruption which admittedly impairs the ability of government to provide the goods for the citizenry, you cannot do so in this haphazard, primitive, single-minded, and arbitrary manner. Arrest Mr A, yes, but Mr B would simply continue from where Mr A stopped. Nothing changes. If you die tomorrow you miserable old fool, everything goes back to square one, so what has changed or what has been achieved? How about putting mechanisms in place to block loopholes or discourage corruption. Mechanisms that would outlive your clumsy old self and your government! Not all these gra-gra noise that has no long term sustainable effect on anything!

this is not d first time crude oil price has gone this low; 47 dollars/barrel or thereabout. BTW 2000 to 2005 crude price averaged less than 35dollars a barrel n Nigeria didn't collapse, inflation wasn't this high.
2007-2008 there was global economic meltdown but Nigeria didn't feel it much bc we had a good economic team that run d country.
I still insist at average crude price of 45dollars a barrel with TSA, Nigeria shouldn't b in this mess we r in if we had an economic team that's worth its salt. Why haven't we pursued reducing recurrent expenditure vigorously by e.g. enrolling all fed. govt. agencies on d ippis to weed ghost workers as much ad possible, but no, buhari will rather fight his enemy dasuki

I rather die from a bomb blast than to be starved to death, after all all die an die but make the death no torment me reach grave

if you were made the GM of a company to oversee the company through trying times but after a year, you seem to be performing below expectation, you will be fired! my brother, he is the number 1man, our leader hence, he is automatically responsible for whatever we are going through.
mind you, Venezuela is going through same problem, the youths are out on the street calling for the head of the president. he may not resign but he definitely will sit up! think about it!
