You don't correct a boy that's the same height as you or probably taller and is obviously stronger than you with slaps. Once you do, it's natural for him to react. Next time, just have a conversation with him.

I just laugh whenever I see them fighting cos I can relate as well.

Another case where it's prevalent is when a boy is the first child and the 2nd child is a female. The female will automatically assume the position of the 2nd mum and cos dads are also always closer to females than males - she's also going to be the apple of her dad's eyes, with a lot of passes. And that always put the first son in an awkward position, whereby the younger sister would always question some of the things he does in a disrespectful way. So when you have this sequence as well - they'll most likely always go at it all the time.

This is a family issue. Though the pictures look gory and sad...the girl needs to learn from this and start respecting her younger brother. She's emotional right now, but she'll get over it. And I'm sure they'll kiss and makeup in the next few weeks. Blood is thicker than water and shyte happens.

I agree that is highly likely that she caused it. However on a forum that make excuses for every case of abuse against women with or without justifiable reasons, you end up fuelling it when you are selective about it. If it is sketchy and unclear, you could give possibilities like you did in this scenario.

There was a thread the other day about a woman who was beaten because she refused sex, I can count the number of men who spoke against it on one hand.

If we are against abuse, let's not gamble with it. You have made good points on this thread however please stop being picky.
