I don't think its dumb. Its actually genius. Time itself is infinite, which means the past, present and future are currently happening at the same time. Bran being a warg, was able to tap into that blackhole, that connects every aspect of time together. Therefore actions in anytime (past, present, future) affect themselves. Bran warging into Hodor in the present while having a connection with the past created a time warp where the actions of the present affect the past, hence 'the past hodor' feeling the effects. According to the bloodraven, the ink of the past is set and dry, because of this, the action of the present affecting the past is so intensely that it literally broke 'past' Hodor's mind. Now due to the past being changed, it carries this effect to the future, which is the present(Hodor holding the door).

I felt a headache after typing this

Nice try... lets just say the present is already set hence current actions by bran..... every action of bran is what causes the present to occur... more like giving an explanation for the present by influencing the past on basis of things that have already occurred. okay i agree this is confusing

Anoda Brain killer....Did Hodor actually see bran...if he did see him, then he also saw the future version of himself holding the door.

In effect he saw his own death (Even though he probably didn't understand it, and it came off more like a dream to him).

And he's lived with that knowledge all his life since that point. This one is what doctors call Pre traumatic stress disorder Lolz...

Meanwhile, this season is boring and subpar. Can they kill off Arya already? I just feel like skipping her scenes whenever it comes on. Was feeling the same way with Bran's scenes and he proved utterly useless with this 'Hold the Door' episode.

Its 5 episodes already and nothing breath-taking, nothing to really make you look forward to the next episode.

Bruh na ur opinion be that ooo... Love this season mehn. Kill Arya? Really? shocked angry angry

Bran Stark caused everything. During his vision of the past, he warged into Wylis the giant stable-boy while connected to Hodor in the present. Wylis being a simple-minded person, his mind got shattered by experiencing the trauma of his own death as he held back the door. Forever loyal, he held the door against all odds even at the expense of his own life, and his dying words were "Hold the door" over and over again. As they tore him apart, he became paralyzed in the past.

Bran shouldn't have warged into Wylis, but it was the fastest way for him to get into the mind of the present day Hodor. BUT if Bran hadn't taken a vision from the Heart Tree without permission from the 3-eyed raven then he wouldn't have been stuck in the vision.

The only thing I see is that this was all inevitable, though Bran was foolish. Because if Bran hasdn't disobeyed and gone to look for a vision, Hodor would have never had to Hold the Door, and then Wylis wouldn't have been paralyzed - which means Wylis would have never become Hodor, which means Bran would have never gotten to the Heart Tree. I think it was all inevitable, like the Biblical Judas' betrayal of Jesus.

I have done that, it won't work on mobile.
I just want want a website where I can download with subtitles on it.

I'm tired of watching each episode and coming here to learn what actually happened. that is torture now. I want to be I in the discussion.
Hehehehe... It works.
Use MX player
First thing you'll do is download the subtitle
If it's in zip format, you'll have to extract it
The subtitle extension is 'srt'

Eg

Game of thrones S06E5.SRT (You can use any name)

Now open MX player, on the top right corner, you'll see three dots arranged vertically.
Select it and you'll see subtitle option
Locate the subtitle in your file manager and select.
Now you're good to go8)

Who would you rather have on your side, a woman with 3 dragons and a better claim than anyone else to the iron throne?

Or a probable warden of the north?

Euron is about to kill them, and all they could do is seek alliance with the mother of dragon that is still in Essos? Maybe you are talking base on a theory you read. This is my thinking and i think its feasible aligning with the Starks. It's not probable the starks will win the battle of the North, and besides the Starks have a better claim to Winterfell. Yara and Theon doesn't have anything to do with the Iron throne. Its theur uncle that have that ambition.

It's just funny how people are unwilling to accept that Hodor was destined to end that way.
He was born so that Bran's journey will not be cut short abruptly. It's like a military saying, "the four stars adorned on a general's shoulder are earned through the blood of young soldiers who died in battle for victory to be sure".

It is a known fact, some people were born to be stepping stones for those who are to achieve victory.

Dany's claim would be through conquest, she does not have "A better claim."

Me neither. I think it was some sort of time loop paradox.

Yes, it is indeed a time paradox, but Bran started the events that led to the loop when he went "green-seeing" unsupervised. Well, Hodor has successfully held the door (as intended), so the loop has now closed on itself.

this is why I keep advising people to watch more of Hollywood movies, a time will come when you won't need subtitle. I don't use ear phone for long cos I have ear problem yet still I hear them well and understand their English.
