byteem:Some of you are irredeemable...... 1. The only thing that delayed the road was that residents took the government to court, since the expansion was going to hit into their property, and government based on overriding public interest needed to demolish part of their properties. Even when people clamoured that the continue, Fashola pointed out that they were hampered by an extant court injunction....... 2. If this were somewhere else, you'll have been hearing stuffs like Governor XYZ overwhelming XX state with projects. Ambode have built/rehabilitated 600km of roads. This is just one of it. |

byteem:At time it is useless conversing with someone as irrational like you. But for all it's worth, you're better off finding out things you are unaware of The governor, in defence, attributed the delay to some unresolved legal issues with some affected landowners. He reminded residents that his administration embarked on the project without any pressure from anyone or group but ran into difficulties as people did not want to give up their property for the required road expansion. Active work had been going on since 2012 Residents criticised the construction firm for its slow pace of work, which made the first phase last longer than expected. Though, government attributed the delay to some unresolved legal tussle between some affected landowners and the government. |
