You seriously need to be quiet, fresh tomatoes still remains the taste of many consumers.
they are still trapped in analog world when the whole world has gone digital. its like using an ancient tap phone when everyone is using screen-touch. who grinds pepper and tomato in 2016 ? yall are prehistoric and stone aged left behinds lolzzzz. just buy everything canned and mix it together and make ya soup. easy life. no problems. it taste just the same if not better

So I went to a shop where they sell tomatoes and pepper and they said this costs 1000 I actually thought she was joking until she started to frown when I was actually laughing out loud and she insisted on 1k,so I took a picture of it with my Tecno L8 device immediately!!

Please is this what you guys are experiencing too?I haven't cooked for 3months now and I came back to my food life and met this?

What's the best alternative please?
Is the dried tomatoes good?even Gino is now #100 and it used to be #50

for the fact that you haven't cooked for months makes you an irresponsible girl(sorry to say that) even bachelors still cook at home twice in a week not to talk less of you being a lady, and to add to your topic/opinion, No tomatoes isn't that bad for those pieces to be up to a thousand naira.. The worst you can get for that is 600naira. But well as you said earlier you don't cook. So enjoy your Mr Biggs with the rightful maga that comes along

Something is actually wrong somewhere, that tomatoes can't be #1,000.

I was at Bodija market in Ibadan today, and #100 tomato is more than that though in my area the same as pictured in your post goes for #200.

There are better stews like ayamashe, chicken, beef or goat curry. They taste better and you don't need tomatoes.

Some fools calling APC?? joke apart this has shown how myopic Nigerians are
How can u blame the cost of tomatoes on buhari?? Ok I praise him for how cheap onions are??
And Nigerians Are exaggerating the cost of tomatoes, even in Port Harcourt this are 200 so please stop lieing

Why don't the PDP governors construct green houses and plant tomatoes and solve this issue??

This is what u get when a people prefer opening bars to processing garri
When people prefer building hotels to greenhouses
When people prefer build estates than building factory to produce fruit concentrate

Nigerians una never see anything
My brother you speak the truth. We are a directionless people, I am sorry to say. Now is the time we are supposed to see our institutions in action, ministry of agriculture, universities, private firms and co. Thats why we are stagnant. Everyone fild his hands and waits for government. We go perish o.

You don't have to insult people to drive home your point. I'm not a farmer but I know that agricultural section and almost major sectors in naija have been left unattended to for almost a year due to lack of budget implementation and the effect is increase in prices and goods and services. Most goods are demand and supply driven. If there is continuous increase in demand without equal or greater increase in supply, the price goes to the roof..
