When news broke on Thursday, May 26, that the Court of Appeal in Abuja had denied a bail application by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), all hell seemed to have broke loose. In a unanimous judgment on Wednesday, May 25, a three-man panel of justices of the appellate court led by Justice Abdul Aboki, affirmed the decision of the Federal High Court to deny Kanu’s bail applicatio Share on Facebook Share on Twitter IPOB Nnamdi Kanu is facing treason charges, alongside two others, Benjamin Madubgwu and James Nwawuisi. The IPOB leader was denied bail by the Appeal Court of Nigeria Nigerians and pro-Biafrans took to socio media to share their support and displeasure over the decision. Below are some Nigerians’s thoughts on the controversial issue which threatens to destabilize the nation. Debekeme Egberi said: “I don’t expect any Nigeria court to rule in Favour of Biafra, beside Buhari even stated it clear lythat he will not allow court to release Kanu! But you know what? Buhari is killing sinking Nigeria gradually but some Nigerians are blind to see the future, any Buhari’s move is in the Favour of Biafra, Nelson Mandela went to prison came out with victory and shame his enemies, and today where are the Nelson Mandela enemies? Martin Luther King went and came out victorious, all freedom fighters always come out with victory it will only take time, and then shame will be for Nigeria! And beside this Guy Nnamdi Kanu is a pure prophet which even the Nigerians have seen the prove and evidence but out of shame they’ve all blocked their eyes and ears. Kelechi Amukamara was of the opinion that Nnamdi has finished Buhari’s government with his wisdom, “even if he dies today, Nigeria won’t recover from the mess Nnamdi Kanu put them in 10 yrs,” Kelechi noted. In Simon Nwokeogu’s opinion, Nnamdi could never have been granted bail by the Appeal Court, “When Buhari had already decided to deal with him? Nnamdi can’ t get justice in Nigeria, this is obvious,” Simon opined. “Can someone tell me what this young man has done? Is it that he is fighting for his right? Nigeria is an agreement of many Nations, and if one feels that he no more comfortable with the treatment or the way things are going, he has the right to opt out. “It is an ignorant thing to think that kanu is fighting against the Nigerian state, it is not by force a marriage is conducted, for those whom this marriage favours will not want it to end, but remember that evil can triumph just for a while, it doesn’t last forever. “Nnamdi Kanu’s war is a war without an end, what he is fighting for is a spiritual movement that cannot be fought in the physical, it seems that our constitution have been suspended because the present government does not obey court order again. “The country is being ruled with coercion, for how long shall we be seating like this?,” queried Jah Son. On the other hand, Raphael Mohammed said: “The war we are fighting is social media war as a matter of fact Biafra agitation is dead for long. If u ask a typical Igbo man that have tangible investments about this agitation, 99.9% of them will tell you Na’a Mbanu we are not ceding from Nigeria.” Lending his voice to Raphael’s voice, Annur Umar Sadiq said: “On behalf of good people of Nigeria, we are here to sacrifice the life of Nnamdi Kanu to Remain in Prison till death, For the benefit of over 170m Nigerians to live in peace. Bello Garba did not hide his delight. “Am in support of the appeal court, Nnamdi Kanu is a nuisance, a traitor that wants to destroy his father land with a false movement of creating Biafra that all saint and responsible people amongst them are not in support. His major crime is breach of trust to his country, he should be given life imprisonment as for me,” Bello stressed. Muhammad M Adam asked Nigerians to stop deceiving themselves. He said: “You guys should stop deceiving yourselves, kanu is dying in prison. Nigeria is one and we cannot afford to divide our country over one minor ethnic and parasite group. what Kanu did is a treasonable felony which attracts death penalty according to the law!” MD Martins said: “Let Kanu Nnamdi receive good zoo treatment, when he came to USA, the real Igbos in USA advised him not to go on what he cannot end….well let the movie continue…..I know some gullible lazy Igbos ones will raise abusive word on me…I am expecting it…because we will charges Kanu Nnamdi to court for the death of the innocent Igbos one in protect in Southeast….we are still washing…” Meanwhile, just as photographs of a Biafran representative spotted at a United Nations conference in the United States made their way into the media, the embattled Nnamdi Kanu, has insinuated that the Biafran territory is recognised in 30 countries of the world. It is believed that such international recognition is necessary for the independence of the area currently located in the south-eastern part of Nigeria even though IPOB believes the region being sought for also covers the south-southern part of the country. Kanu, according to Breaking Times, is asking the Community Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to force the Nigerian government to pay him $800 million as compensation for the gross violation of his human rights. Kanu had been in detention since October 14, 2015 and all efforts to get him to enjoy bail have been rebuffed by the government. https://www.naij.com/841731-controversy-nnamdi-kanu-must-die-peace-170million-nigerians-people-react.html |

If he is to die, then the masterminds of his arrest will die before him and the bifurcation will surely occur one day. |

Only the parasitic zoogerians are praying for one Nigeria. Therefore, anytin possible to exterminate Kanu is reflective of their mindset. Lotta cretins in the arid region of 12 million kids reportedly outta school. They shud ponder on that and let Kanu be. |

Nnamdi Kanu will one day die, as will all of us someday. But change is the only constant thing in nature. Nigeria will definitely change, but not the way people think. Nigeria as it is presently constituted will never change for the better. It will always be at war with its self as we really do not see each other as brothers, we never have. And that's why, sooner or later, it will break up and those groups of people who share kinship, values and a common destiny will realign themselves into different nations that they can be proud of. As far as I'm concerned, Nnamdi Kanu has finished his job. His death now or incarceration will only be a rallying point for the lovers of freedom to continue their quest for emancipation same way people like Nielson Mandela were. Kanu or no Kanu, the journey to freedom will never stop. |

![]() How will Nnamdi Kanu death make me a Nigerian? These Nigerian boko haram muslims are screeming one with christian jewish igbos, while they advocate the murder of the people they are one with in their sadistic minds. Nnamdi Kanu is our blood, u murder him, we bring down Nigeria. We did it before and will do it again. Buhari hurry and murder him for calling u a peadophile. Yorubas want to marry igbo by all means(associate), so Nnamdi Kanu death will make me and my family marry yoruba. They hate him becos he openly exposed the way they had plotted and murder over 3 million igbos. Of all the ethnic group in Nigeria and the world, are Yorubas and Igbos suppose to have any association? If not for our Christian values, yorubas and igbos are suppose to have deadly wars where ever they meet. Once Nnamdi Kanu is dead we will surrender and withdraw case at ICC and UN. Nnamdi Kanu death will provide the agrrevied justification not to burn down the Zoo, until UN peace force occupy Nigeria and divide us. Nnamdi Kanu is the problem and nobody can replace him like Ojukwu. ![]() |

Nnamdi Kanu is overrated, the longer u keep him alive, the longer the Zoo continues. The longer u hold him, the longer Biafra is in the limelight. Murder him so we can go ahead and burn down the country much to the British delight. It has been long the BBC had a real conflict to report. |

waternogetemeny:I hate to see people talk foolishly. The real question here is murdering Nnamdi equate to murdering Biafra? If no is the answer, then calls for Nnamdi murder is hateful and sentimental. Nigeria cannot afford such mistakes. These Northerners are probably Boko Haram trying to burn down the country covertly. Northerners have murdered too many Nigerians particularly the middle belters and igbos to even utter a word about One Nigeria. People dont continuously murder their own people that they claim to be one with. This is why nobody sells Nigeria weapons. We are known as a nation of human and civil right offenders. |

Killing Nnamdi Kanu would mark the end of Nigeria. What most people fail to realise is that Nnamdi Kanu is not alone in this fight. The MB, SS and SE trio far outnumbers that of the north. Yorubas will remain neutral cos they font have the guts to go to war. |

Nnamdi kanu is mortal, so are Yusuf Buhari, Zahra Buhari and all of Buhari relatives that live outside the shores of this country. Everyone bleeds! We can sacrifice our lives for Biafra but can Buhari sacrifice his life and the life of his children for 'one nigeria'? ~ Nnamdi Kanu 2015 What will hit Buhari and fulanis, if Kanu dies will be surprising even to the devil himself and as I am sure many of them will look over their shoulders for the rest of their miserable lives as long as they breath, anywhere a single Biafran exists. nigeria is death already for many Biafrans and you can't kill a dead man. Buhari and his murderous brothers can try. This is gonna be a trans-generational war without end and tides will turn. I can assure you ![]() |

Kanu's blood might be the catalyst needed to move this ministry to the permanent site. FGN, hear my petition and execute him for the crime of secession.... |

cheruv:From the moment one boy called Nnamdi have to die in custody to save big Nigeria. Wat does dat say about Nigeria as a country? Nnamdi is not leading an armed struggle, he has not murdered anybody. Nigeria need to look again at the National conference and stop grasping straws. Buhari is not know for wise decision and Nnamdi Kanu is yet again another misplaced priority. Nnamdi is best released and ignored. Let us allow peace to reign. |

HMMMM they call this kanuphobia -the fear of Nnamdi Kanu.... The most foolish thing Nigeria will do is allow that guy Nnamdi kanu die in detention...Do u know how many years Nzeogwu stayed in detention before release..yet we have a greater Nzeogwu.. The only time Nigerians and Igbos knew the Name Nzeogwu was when he was in detention..massob was violent then till his release and the truth is i dont know who Kanu is till i heard about his arrest.. Nnamdi kanu detention is bringing more reason for emancipation and not the other way round. One thing i know is that ...the World is watching |

All I know is that, If anything happens to Kanu, even after Buhari's death, natural or unnatural, his lineage will keep paying for it. I know the East, they have a very long memory and I doubt they will ever forgive this, even the 'one nigerianists' you have today among them. Fulanis should just drag their hausa sidekicks and pull out from nigeria peacefully. If they insist on prosecuting a war with the Old East with the resources found there. I pity them! because when the whol thing ends, they won't have the east and they won't even have nigeria. Some hausa are beginning to mobilize to kick them back to where they came from! Very soon something really big will hit fulanis! |
