Where did u get ur facts from? Nigeria has a proven reserve of 36 Billion barrels, the 2nd largest in Africa after Libya which has 44 billion barrels, Angola 23 billion barrels. I wonder who told u that Ondo state has that much, how big is the coastline of Ondo state are u telling me that it is bigger than that of Delta state? Go and get ur facts right....

Comprehension issues.

Summary:
Light oil: 36 billion barrels.

Bituminous oil/Heavy oil: 40-45 billion barrels.

Thank me later.

As long as there is a bilateral relationship between the two countries, no problems. Has the people of lesotho all died?
Then good riddance. just put it in mind you would need visa to smell lagos. i will charge you heavily as a foreigner in yoruba land.

NDA should not forget that Niger deltans still need other regions to survive in terms of cultivation and Agri sustenance, The niger delta region has been polluted with a very high level of oil spillage and food is what they still need and not just oil. I am proudly NIGER DELTAN but we still need this one NIGERIA. We voted PMB so lets be his friend and get our own share of the cake just like my Yoruba brothers they know how to play Nigeria politics .

For your info Ondo is ND

Yes, that is why it would be hard for the ND to break off, because we ain't going with.

And if there would be breakage, Nigeria would rightfully take back the juicy Agbami fields for Ondo state -- Nigeria's money built it!

Woow! How I wish we can have a referendum to divide this country peacefully. Nigeria is too divided along many lines...it's long overdue!

LOL..... This news will confuse the hell out of some people.
They will all claim to be happy and smiling on the outside, but on the inside, they are agitated and scared as Bleep. They are asking for referendum for Igboid groups in the SS, but we all know very well, that the Ikwerres and the Ukwales would rather see themselves in a Niger-Delta republic than in a biafra. Only Aniocha and Oshimili even have any hope of joining SE, and they are as barren as fck!..... Now how will a landlocked red mud republic compete against their arch rivals the Yorubas who already have everything they need to succeed as a nation?

The Niger-Delta republic although I wish them the best, will be plagued by ethnic strife. All the various groups there will have the knives to each other's throats. Some might even declare further independence and become micro African states like Gambia and Rwanda. At the end of the day, they will all remind us of oil rich equatorial guinea. Extremely rich on paper but just a little above average in reality.

Na North I pity pass.

Pure Facts!
Please can we Igalas Join Oduduwa republic? We are not Northern! sad

The forbears of the present IPOB members have been there & done that;their offspring are also aware of how destructive an ill-planned secession can be,so they have to tread with caution.

As for this Marvel Comics militants, they are still fresh in the scene, and with a lot of adrenaline coursing through their arteries.

Can they hold the nation to a ransom?
Time will tell.

I don't think the ND is holding Nigeria to Ransome like you've said...the reverse is the case here. You can't keep the ND tied to Nigeria against their wish, they've served their purpose and it's time to let go. If the other regions haven't had their fill of the NDs resources for over 50 years, the past leaders who are pre dominantly Northerners should be blamed. Afterall boooooohari earmarked billions for oil exploration in the Chad Basin, what are they waiting for?

Ignorance is a disease. Nigeria's proven oil reserve is about 37 billion barrels.

Sure it is, especially if you think Nigeria's 40-45 billion barrels of heavy oil is non-existent.

Don't thank me, it's a pleasure.

Of course. You think we Biafrans are going to to do "unity by force" like Nigeria? In a referendum, let everyone vote where they belong, be it Nigeria, Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic

Maybe you're from ondo state or want to whip up sentiments in your favor. Your analysis is unavoidably laced with holes. I only enjoy from your point indirectly that, even if the ND secede, that doesn't necessarily translate to a good life because they have oil! But that ondo has more oil reserve than other Niger Delta states is unfounded, which method did u use to come to this? Analogy, volumetric, performance oriented(Simulation, decline curve analysis or MBE)? Our proven oil reserve as a nation stands at 37.070MMMbbl, then how possible ondo has more than that knowing fully well 2P and 3P aren't too likely based on economic and Technical constraints. Anyway, the Agbami oil field operated by star deep u defended later on, which is undoubtedly the second largest Deepwater oil field after bonga by shell has a daily production of 70Mbbl/d while some claim 250Mbbl/d and OIIP of about 900MMbbl which is not worth a comparison with inputs from other states like one that houses bonga. Moreover the Agbami field isn't too credited to ondo by NDDC hence, the reason for the paltry amount that enters the state from excess crude compared to other high earners in ND. So please, always cross check your analysis and facts. Gracias!

Heavy oil and light oil bro.

Go to pages 9-10, I explained to folks who didn't get it already.

by the time u started feeling the heat u will beg for mercy bht it will be too late. Disciplined conduct and practice exalt and prosper a nation. a nation built by extremely violence can not last. I swear history has find it's way to make a repetition which most people don't want it happening again. Only if u are wise enough or at least know much about what happend in d past then u will know better we don't need war now. Nigeria has never experienced war before what happend in 1967-1970 was never a civil war but civil conflict as analyzed by America. (OGUN ABELE IN YORUBA ) war! war! war! is never an option at all. Let's AVOID IT! #ONE LOVE ONE NATION

Go and read about Equatorial Guinea.

BTW, Nigeria's total oil reserves (heavy and light oil) is put at about 76 billion barrels; Ondo state alone owns roughly 40 billion barrels of those.

You will argue still, because getting facts across to 'sincerely ignorant' people is like baptizing a cat.

Nobody is quarrelling over whether ondo has 2 Zillion barrels. The question is why do yorubas of nigeria fight and slave for the fulani to keep one nigeria intact? Why not take the zillion barrels into oduduwa republic for Godsake! The whole thing is making the great yoruba nation look like glorified idiots that can't build their own nation!

We all know you are not itsekiri..... lol. Itsekiri alone with a dominant Ijaw in an independent republic will probably spell their doom. The ijaws will take over all of their lands from Omadino to Ugborodo to Ogidigben and Escravos to Jakpa, Okerenkoko, Ureju and Koko to Warri itself.
So, in a referendum of choice, the wise people of Iwerreland which I know they are, know where to join to secure their very existence.
