forgiveness:"The communities, in a statement signed by the coordinator of Ondo State Oil Producing Communities Rights and Mandate Group, OSOPCRMG, Williams Ayerin, and the Secretary, Bobby Akinluwa, said the impact of the two government bodies were not being felt by the people. The oil communities lamented that NDDC’s budgets for the state is not in any form commensurate with what the oil companies operating in the state pay as dues to the commission on daily basis. They specifically accused NDDC of playing politics with the right ownership of Agbami Oil Field which according to them is located about 70 miles in Ilaje water front. They said the shares of the state from NDDC would have increased tremendously if the Agbami oil field had been credited to Ondo state as stated in the nation’s map . . . The authorities in charge of the Agencies are using what it accruable to us to develop Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Rivers States." http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/130831-ondo-oil-communities-want-niger-delta-ministry-scrapped.html Just to show, if everyone wants to foment trouble like the people of Bayelsa and Delta, we won't see the end of it. The Agbami fields is comfortably top 2 biggest of the offshore fields in Nigeria. |

I hope they will be able to contain with the war that will follow, if the Igbos could not survived it definitely not this minority class of pple. a wise person will know that militancy is a child's play for it has no basis for comparsim with war. |

Ariani:Well, Isaac Boro gave so many reasons in his memos as to why he believed Ijaws were being oppressed by Igbos, and Igbo leaders did nothing to address his complaints just as Nigeria is currently doing to the SS. So I find your story's first part quite incredible. The human spirit does not rebel against a system that is just and fair to everyone, hence Boro would not have sought NDR if all you claimed above were true of the relationship between Ijaws and Igbos in the Old Eastern Region. On the second part: I remember you and I have had debates here in which you justified Zik's decision to reject Awolowo's all-south coalition proposal but align with the North to irreversibly enslave the whole South under the North in order to avenge Awolowo's refusal for him to become Western Region Premier earlier on. If Boro was myopic for "sacrificing" the larger picture in seeking for revenge in such manner, then why do you justify Zik's decision to align with the North which equally was a sacrificing of the larger picture in order to avenge Awolowo? |

yomexp:Let me school you just a little. 1. We don't need to patronize your big producers. Bua Cement, Ukpilla Former Edo cement, near Benin City produces cement. Atlas Cement Company Limited is a cement import-terminal based in Onne, Rivers State. It produced its first bags of cement in 2000, and thereafter went into full commercial production in February 2001. Since then, it has been serving the South-South and South East markets of Nigeria. Based in Calabar, Cross River State, UniCem is a joint venture between Lafarge Africa Plc and Holcim. The company has a production capacity of 2.5MMT and is one of Nigeria's largest cement manufacturers with strong presence in the South and South-ast regions. The list is endless. 2. Currently most of the roads globally are paved with petroleum bitumen which is also called asphalt. So tell me who has oil? 3. Hahahahaha.... this cracked me up real good. There are many food and beverage companies in the south and east. Aquafield Water Services Port Harcourt produces Alcohol, Drinking Water and Food & Beverages. Harris-marris-oshima Plc Onitsha Anambra State produces Alcohol, Agricultural products, Apparel/Fabric, Canned Fish etc etc. Omeran Foods Ltd Enugu State produces Alcohol, Frozen Food, Packaging & Paper Food & Beverage as well. 4. Afrik Pharmaceuticals Limited Imo State. That's not to say that it will stop the igbos who own major business outlets in Lagos from doing what they know how to do best. They will import the hell out of those commodities. You will be welcomed to take a free visa to this part of the world soonest. |

Deadlytruth:Awo was never a sincere man, he was psyching out both Zik and the North, looking to pick the winning team between the two regions to pitch his tent with, the two regions found out and it boomeranged on Awo. Awo played the same game on Gowon and Ojukwu with favourable outcome that time around because of the failure of Aburi. These are historical facts that had been mentioned time and time again on this forum by many Igbos here like Dede1, Deridegull and Duru1, but that Yorubas have failed to accept. Awo insincerity killed a possible United southern front, though I don't expect you to accept that. On Boro's issue, as of the time in discuss, crude oil wasn't Eastern region mainstay of income, Palm oil and Coal were, and much of these two were gotten from Igboland, Ibibiolands, Efikland and Annang, so I wonder the marginalization Boro was talking about when most of the rural areas in the East other than Urban centres like PH, Enugu, Calabar, Onitsha were pretty much undeveloped as of then. It wasn't like crude oil were being siphoned from his rural Ijawland to build Enugu. Enugu had coal that was used to build it. It wasn't built off the proceeds from the Ijaw man's country. Was he expecting the Whole Eastern region meagre income to be spent developing just his rural Ijaw areas? When most of the rural parts of the East were pretty much just the same. |

Woooow! I love this. I am a Yoruba person but I support this. They are very very very wise! You know why? Cos they like to get off Nigeria before success comes. I wonder how stupid they could be and imagine if their money would be accepted internationally. No country will trade with the money or accept cos it's not gonna be accepted by IMF nor world bank. That's that! Again, get to knw that There are oil reserves not in the east but south west and north. Lagos joins oil producing state. Ogun state has oil but yet to be tapped into. Bitumen and agriculture, south west! Education, south west! What are u telling me? You'll come to the yorubas and beg for food @ last when no one accepts you. Believe that! Gbaaams! |

Ariani:You suggest that Boro should have joined forces with Ojukwu to liberate Biafra? That suggestion is easier said than done. Put yourself in Boro's shoes and see if you can come out of jail and join those who jailed you to fight against those who released you. Let's be practically honest and realistic of what we expect others to do towards us. |

989900B:Is the current issues about who has what amount of oil? Instead of giving solutions to the problems threatening the country's unity, so let the SS go so Ondo can feed the nation. |
| Re: Niger Delta Avengers Unveils Currency by Ariani: 10:14pm On May 27, 2016 |
Deadlytruth:Then let's agree that Boro was an emotional man rather than a visionary leader. Visionary leaders see beyond their emotions, they think strategically, Boro never did. With the advantage of his hindsight, we can clearly see that he allowed vendetta to guide him to the worn ghost side of history. In 2011, Igbo leaders could have easily dumped GEJ and take the VP slot the North was throwing in front of us, in accordance to PDP zoning formula, but we didn't. It was a good time to pay the Ijaws in their own coin by teaming up with the same people they teamed up against us, but we resisted that. We saw beyond emotions into the future and today, that Igbo sacrifice is the only reason we are talking of SE/ SS unity. |

989900B:I followed most of your comments on nigeria's oil reserve. First of all, who did that research & how u sure that research wasnt a scam, we live in a country where government feeds pple with lies. How does ondo state reserve oil, how MANY oil wells does ondo hve. Logically, oil produced by Major oil producing states are transported to the countrys oil reserve, mayb in kaduna, ondo, lagos. You should respect the Niger delta pple, Niger Delta Region is the pillar of nigeria until Nigeria finds AN alternative source of income. If the niger delta Region is still part of nigeria and states like osun, ekiti, oyo are finding hard to keep the ground running, wat Will happen wen the Niger delta Region leaves Nigeria, ekiti that was recieving 759m Will receive 75m. You cannot bite the fingers that feed u, Nigeria needs the Niger Delta Badly |
