Well, I would suggest that payoneer partner with Nigerian banks so that we can easily fund card through our banks.

Frankly, I don't like the idea of making money into my card through the site which I got it from before I can fund it. I just want to activate it,fund it and purchase what I want with it.

I will prefer payoneer because most of our card here,the one issued by our bank in Naira denomination, are rejected on some site like Hostgator.com which is the number one web host company on the web. I am a web designer and seller so I will always need hosting.

If you can help solve the funding, I bet you, there are over 2000 Nigerians that are ready to use Payoneer Mastercard. I had to let mine expire because I could not fund it.

Please not that we Nigerians are not allowed to use paypal. hence we cant fund it.

Thanks for your interest in Payoneer.

To answer your question, I would like to explain a bit about the company (I also wrote this in another post today). We were founded to give companies a way to pay their international users in an easy and quick manner. Because of this, we require that our cardholders receive at least one payment from any of our partners (it doesn't have to be the one you signed up with) before you can receive a private load.

The options we generally offer for loads to the Payoneer card are:

1) Partner payment - Mandatory to receive at least one from any of our 1,400+ partners before you can use the card in another way
2) Private load - Once you have received your first partner payment
3) Card to card - If the feature is activated for both users, it depends on the partner
4) ACH transfer for US-based accounts (does not apply to Nigerians, of course)
5) Our Virtual Account, which allows you receive ACH payments from any company in the world that offers ACH payments (e.g. PayPal, Amazon, etc.) You can only apply for the VA once you have had at least 3 partner payments, though.

While I am happy you would like to be able to use Payoneer, we are not in the business of issuing prepaid cards to anyone who wants them; We can only issue them through a partner and are required to have partner payments before we can offer other parts of our business. Again, this has nothing to do with any country in particular - all of our rules are 100% across the board.

About deals with banks, I will pass this on, but I can't make any promises about this happening because we haven't done this with any country in the world (we are based in the US so ACH is different).

You can withdraw up to $2,500 per day via the ATM and use up to $2,500 per day by swiping the card (online or offline), for a total of $5,000 per day.

Hi Adesida,

Your card is with a company that no longer works with us, so you need to reapply through a new partner that does work with us. You cannot continue to use this card anyway (the same goes for everyone that has this card).

Moreover, as I've gotten payment from partner, does it automatically unlock private payments? Or is it manual? Also, I'm expecting my new card via dhl, as the old one was stolen. Will all the privileges on the old card be transferred to the new one?

You can use the card to verify PayPal, but only once you have money on it, since PayPal makes a small charge to verify that you are the owner of the card.

Private payments are loads from a MasterCard or Visa, and card to card transfers are transfers between two Payoneer cards. Private payments are manually approved by us, and yes, sometimes they aren't approved for reasons that I cannot disclose. Card to card payments are automatic, but limited to 5 per 30 day period.

You cannot currently receive funds to your Payoneer card through Western Union, not unless they begin sending payments directly to a MasterCard.

Please don't yell at me, I didn't skip it on purpose, I just didn't see the question.

Once you have payments from a partner, you should be able to receive private payments, but again, these are manually approved, so there's always the possibility of them being rejected.

Receiving a new card only changes your card, not your account, so you can use it in the exact same way as your old one, don't worry.

You can't make use of the service because you are yet to make payments with your card or withdrawals via ATM. Try to do that and see if you can make account transfer.

Yes, use the card to make payments online.
You will be charged 3% of whatever you withdraw.
