Ignorance is no excuse for the law. I've witnessed first hand, the menace of fulani herdsmen in a riverine community in Ndokwa East LGA in Delta State which makes the indigenes intolerant of them nor go to their farms alone. There had been an all out war between them and the fulani herdsmen due to how they use their sources of livelihood in feeding their cows with careless abandon. Lives were taken. If you think the fulani herdsmen are unarmed, you're on a long thing baba. And if you say some of their leaders haven't condemned the activities of NDA, then you are just not current.

President Mohammadu Buhari on Sunday, May 29 addressed Nigerians on his milestones in his one-year old administration.

Reading through the transcript of President Buhari's Democracy speech, he touched on Boko haram, IPOB, Niger Delta Militants , but there was no mention of Fulani herdsmen attacks.


In Global Terrorism Index, Boko Haram is ranked as the deadliest terrorism group in the world, follow by ISIS, AL-Shabab. Fulani herdsmen is rated fourth as one of the worst terrorist organisations in the world with its base in Nigeria.

That means Nigeria harbors two of the powerful terrorist organisations in the world. And the President is silent about it.

What could this mean for Nigeria?

As the Number one citizen and President of the FEderal Republic of NIgeria, all issues should be addressed.

He is in charge of the security of lives of every single NIgerian. Always remember, it can always be you or a member of your family next.

Ask your self a question,what has killed Nigerians more between EBola and the herdsmen? What treatment was given to curb them? Should the country have ignored the illness because it was just few deaths?

This as likened to a fatal disease has the tendencyto spread hence must be given utmost attention.

Although I am fully with Buhari, but I think he is really underestimating the Fulani scourge. He obviously has a soft spot for herdsmen, but he fails to realise that he is actually alienating many Nigerians by his inactions.
